Air Travel With Peptides & Accouterments

Howdy All,
My best friend of almost 55 yrs. lives on Kauai and I'm going to see her in Fall for my 70th Birthday.
I'm guessing I can't carry with me; even with Dr. note. Has anyone tried mailing what's needed ahead of time? Yes? No? Bad idea? Opinions?
Hope these aren't untoward questions; it's just that kitty needs them for research.
Thanks!

I flew in March. No issues, no note. I out my pens in an insulated insulin case. When I was going through TSA, I put my backpack up and I said I have refrigerated medicine in there. They told me to take the pack out of the backpack and just sit it in the bin with my backpack. They never asked what was in it, they never questioned it. They see thousands of people go through with refrigerated meds. You can order an insulated travel case on Amazon

My real job has me traveling....a lot. Dont stress about domestic travel. Its not a problem. International is a totally different discussion.

This is the one that I purchased. I've traveled with it twice. The only warning I have is to make sure that your ice packs are FROZEN. If they are not, TSA has a problem with them. When I was on my cruise, I only had a mini fridge in the room. It had a small freezer compartment, but it didn't freeze. I took them down to Medical and they froze them for me. I picked them up at disembarkation. Also, when I stayed in a hotel and had a long travel day the next day, I asked the front desk to freeze them and they did with no problem.

I've not used them around home, just to fly. They were still cold, but thawed out, after 8 hours. The important thing is that they are fully frozen at the airport.
Has it not already been determined that peps don't NEED to be kept cold for weeks on end?

That’s what they say, but I prefer to be safe. Putting them in my luggage could be awfully hot, going to the Caribbean

@Stan-Douglas Maybe not. Peptide Crafters just sent out an interesting study on Tesamorelin they performed themselves. I posted it in "storage" part of this site.

I had some concerns about the direct contact of the ice packs and the vials on my carry-on zip up case so I put the ice packs in some small fabric bags that added a layer between the ice and the vial. Overkill?
I had done some cursory looking to see if vials getting too cold could be an issue and some were saying it could. I fly often but its usually a short flight (under 2hr) with the whole travel time from freezer to fridge at home being ~6hr.

@hunt_ak Mexico is fun. You push a button at customs. The light turns red or the light turns green. Its 50/50.
They either open your bag and ask what you brought or take everything out and check the pockets of all your pants for drugs.
I guess they think people bring trees to the forest.
