Why the Different Strengths?

Not reta, but I use tirz. I microdose for inflammation primarily. I've come across people that do similar though for maintenance, which could also be done with reta (and tbf it does make maintenance a lot easier than it used to be). I just bought T30 because of a testing group, but it would take me 20 weeks to go through. That's longer than the BAC is really safe for and a whole lot of punctures really increasing the risk factor of using it. The mid to higher doses seem to have a lot more testing interest though so I'll be dumping half-ish of each vial.

You want to size the vials you order to what you will use during the peptides expected good lifespan. I currently have a kit of 70mg tirz and that is way more than I would use before it loses potency. It would be fine for my bride as she is on a much higher dose. I probably need 30mg vials since I take 3-5mg/week. I might split them, which would yield 5 weeks for each of us.

All good points.
I too have only gone 10 weeks on a single vial of Tirz, and don't really feel comfortable going more than that. Is there a big difference between bacteriostatic water and what pharmaceutical companies use? I assumed (I know I shouldn't), it was the same or similar. I've read other places that people use those well beyond the 28 day mark on those vials.I guess I jumped the gun on Reta-24MG. Never used it before. If there is any waste I guess I will just have to chalk it up to the price of a learning experience.
@commander Is it just for potency or would sterility be included in that as well? You say that you go no more than 5 weeks. I'm sure a lot is determined by individual comfort levels, but what time frame is the consensus of the majority?

If you are buying or have bought compounded tirzepatide, it contains preservatives, which is how they have “extended BUD’s” that are 6 months to a year beyond the original best used by date. I am just finishing a vial I bought last October that was expired when I got it, but they just pasted another extended BUD over the original extended BUD.

@researchcat Ahhh, that makes sense. I have bought compounded and forgot they had preservatives. Though I thought maybe the BAC and preservatives were one in the same. I appreciate the education.

I won’t use a reconstituted vial for more thsn 5 weeks.
Look around here, you will find articles on degradation of peptides after they have been reconstituted. They start to loose they potency….I won’t use a reconstituted vial for more thsn 5 weeks.
Look around here, you will find articles on degradation of peptides after they have been reconstituted. They start to loose they potency….Tirz only dropped from 94% to 92% from day 15 to day 60.
Bac water tested plenty safe at 90 days, and even then its a slow degradation afterwards.
My peptide research is limited to the GHRH/GHRP compounds fwiw. My experience researching them is extensive.
In my lab, I am maintaining a 60ish day window before discarding. I think that's fairly conservative and staying on the safer side without being wasteful and unnecessarily paranoid.

@neil-mccauley would you be willing to start a thread detailing your experiences? I'm just starting to get into Tesa/Ipa and would love to hear about your experience, what sorts of labs you run, and what you've learned!

Me too! Before I learned from Randy/Jeff how to DIY, I've been taking already reconstituted Tirz and NAD+ in the fridge for over 90 days and no problems with potency at all. Can't say the BAC is protected, but no deleterious effects that I can feel; no doubt the additives, B12, glyc. Don't need either of those; not sure the B12 is methylated, probably not, IDK. Feeling isn't everything.
