I went into this with the idea and acceptance that I would be taking something for the rest of my life. GLP, Peptide/ Insulin... whatever. I know my genetics and T2D is a 100% guarantee if I do nothing, so i chose GLP for now and it has absolutely changed the game with my BG. So, if I can take a maintenance/micro dose after i hit my goal I will. Beats the other options in my opinion given the other positive benefits it looks to give.

That is my plan as well.

My plan is to research until I hit my goal and then taper off. Instead of micro-dosing I think I’ll try to treat Reta the same way I treat a lot of other peps. Cycle it in for 8, 12, or 16 weeks one - two times a year. Don’t know how good of a plan this is but that’s what I’m thinking.

@WesEqualshXc Are you tapering off to zero?

I'm currently micro-dosing just starting out and I'm losing weight. I'm hoping to break old habits and learn new ones so I don't have to depend on it to maintain my weight.

Are you on 2.5 or less, or 5? Most everyone loses weight at first. When I was at 5, I loved it, wish I had stayed there longer. Now, as I'm drawing down (currently 6), I know 5 will not be the same. I wish you the best of everything. Stay with it!

I hesitated in posting this but wanted to express how fragile the situation is with those of us who have long-standing metabolic dysfunction. I know I do. I know it's a lifetime for me going forward.

@Eleanor I'm only researching. 75 of a mg twice a week. My test subjects don't respond well to higher doses.

Just someone with a fridge full of research and a browser history that would concern my doctor.

Not right now but yeah I will be.

My INTENT is to taper down Reta as slowly as I went up, while tapering up calories at the same time until I find maintenance. With that said, I have incorporated consistent meal prep, whole foods, hard weight training and other disciplines into my life that were not there before. I plan to keep those until I drop dead somewhere in the future as a fit, healthy, old man. God willing that will allow me to keep the weight off. I think the key is my "goal" isn't to hit a target weight. My goal is to be fit and stay that way the rest of my life. Too many hit their target weight and completely quit everything they were doing to get there. Bad news that.
