I love making breakfast burritos with low carb tortillas.

      • 1 lb ground beef (as lean as you prefer, but 80/20 is my goto)
      • 10 whole eggs
      • cheese
      • low carb tortillas

      Should make about 6 burritos.

I also spray them with olive oil then bake at 400 to get a crisp at the end. Then I wrap them in foil. Fridge if I'm going to eat in the next week, freezer if I'm saving for more than a week.

I do not use the brown sugar, yogurt, or rice; although I might have a piece of naan, or pita to scoop it up. I also cook the chicken thighs whole in the pan and add a small can of, or fresh tomatoes. OMG, it is so dang good!

I like making high protein breakfasts ahead of time to grab all week for work. Last couple of weeks I have been making overnight oats. I dont like the whole oats texture so I pulse them in the food processor. Add greeek yogurt. Chocolate protein powder and peanut butter powder. Skim milk. Then chop a banana into eat while eating it. For the fat kid at heart I am this gives me reeses vibes. Or atleast thats what I tell myself.

I'm into the speedy EZ meals.
                  Post work out breakfast:

Zoup bone broth, 1/2 the jar in a cup, nuke it for 2 minute.
While that's cooking pour 8 ounces of egg whites into microwave bowl, switch them, that goes for 3:30
Pull out a cup of brown rice, I also like the quinoa or the wild rice.
Chomp on a banana while you wait.
Eggs come out, rice in for 1 minute.
Put your favorite white cheese on the eggs.
Rice comes out and goes on top of that.
Pico de gallo over the rice.

                  507 Cals 49.5 carbs 6g fat 52.9g Protein
It's just a matter of letting it cool down enough to eat.

@quicksilver80 Honestly, and it took me several months and two trips to the colorectal specialist to figure this out: MiraLAX is your friend, and it is perfectly safe to take every day for extended periods. Even two servings a day is okay if you are having problems. But once you’re moving, you should not get impacted or backed up and you shouldn’t have emergencies either.

This will make you regular as long as you’re hydrating. You still want Metamucil or other fiber. They work well together.

(If you are truly committed to your constipation and maybe awful ‘roids, ignore this advice.)

Please set a funny and sarcastic signature line. It brings me joy. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Hitting my protein macros is always hard. I usually include at least 1 Oikos Protein(30 G protein) shake after my post CJC/Ipa fast ends before I leave for work. Breakfast is 8 oz full fat Greek yogurt(Fage or Cabot, sometimes store brand), 8 oz frozen blueberries, and 2 stevia packets sprinkled on top. That is about 26-30 grams of protein.

I eat tons of ground turkey, either seasoned with curry powders or chili/taco seasoning. 8 oz is about 25 grams of protein. I get tired of this, so I occasionally beg my bride to make turkey burgers. Note: Somehow, adding rice to the ground turkey helps me eat more of it.

We also eat a fair amount of hamburgers as I don’t get tired of hamburgers.

For the rest, it is mostly going to lunch shops and trying to find a protein forward meal - which isn’t easy. I need to do more meal prep. My wife just made pulled chicken, which was really good. I have made it before but it was always dry. I will be adding this in as you can make a bunch and season on demand.

@ResearchCat I also struggle with getting my protein in. I can't eat eggs or dairy so that throws a wrench into things as well.

Don't do chicken breats, use thighs. Much better and won't dry out as easily as the breasts.

@ResearchCat I used to use mayo to keep chicken moist. Next time I cook chicken breast I'm going to try greek yogurt and see if that does the same thing.

@shaqdiesel Yep, 100% thighs are our favorites. For slow cooking, you can combine them but we prefer thighs.

@beekind I’ve seen a number of recipes for dips and other things that substitute full fat Greek yogurt for sour cream, mayo, or other stuff.I don’t know why it never occurred to me to try that on my own.

Be careful if you cook yogurt in a dish, casserole, etc. It does not keep for very long. Eat same day. It's why I don't put it in my Indian recipes that I think might have leftovers (rare).

I use Greek yogurt in everything. Anything I need creamy. Never had an issue with leftovers when using it. You shouldn't cook with it. I always add it to the dish after the dish is cooked and off the heat. Its been my cheat code.
