Manufacturing of peptides

The video goes over a few studies that I believe have been looked at and some say were grossly exaggerated. The thing that got me concerned is the fragments. Dr. William Seed said the same thing last year.

I have heard the similar stories. It's true that after the solid phase the material must be processed through counter-ion exchange to replace TFA with acetate and some cheaper plants skip that or do it incompletely . That's why TFA testing is important. "incomplete deprotection" is seemingly a yet different issue, earlier in the process, and it's resolved by using more TFA, which then must be removed better. Heavy mentals contamination may happen also on lyophilization phase, even already in US if it's done locally, because of inferior process and the quality of the buffers.
About "deletion sequences", it's possible but Identity tests should detect that, some labs produce COAs with charts showing Mass Spectrometry (MS) Intensity vs. m/z, and you can see that M+H should correspond to the molecular weight. -

He also said something about chromatography or something like that to identify whether the manufacturing process was done correctly or something along those lines. I believe he said he has never had a positive result for heavy metals and said if people want it, he does it but made it seem completely unnecessary. I think Jano starting at the beginning stages of the peptide craze has a massive head start on these smaller labs. Just my two cents. I have been down this rabbit hole a bunch.

Since we all don't have the luxury to test all and blood work closely. If youre going to commit to a pin there are still measures you can take. Do your best on a good source. Filter your peps and titrate up starting low to rule out allergic reactions. Ifnall goes well also to find your sweet spot. All these rat studies are not telling you if the rodents had symptoms such as head aches, local inflammation, soft poop pellets, threw up in there mouth..... Well you get the picture. Always titrate low and be patient. Would be nice to have test strip for peptides. You can test strip endotoxins, ph, some heavy metals...

@Stevepep HPLC filters out salts and excipients apparently, otherwise you wouldn't see 99.9% purity, right? Imagine in the vial you have 10mg of a peptide and 1000mg of some mannitol, acetate ions, etc.

@jamiegallien They give Fent. test strips away with narcan here, its almost like a ph test strip
