Puratek Peptides User Review: Good products. Shady payment process.

Have ordered from Puratek several times this year and the products I’ve researched have been good quality. Recently they have moved over to a new payment processor which has been not only taken pictures of face, payment and ID for verification, but has never completed a payment transaction that is easily done with other peptide vendor sites. Frustrating, is shady in practice and results in making purchases from other peptide suppliers.

This doesn’t sound right. I just paid with a CC when I bought from them. I wonder what is going on.
@Commander Some vendors are doing it for new user accounts saying they do disputes and chargebacks that hurt them.
Well they can offer Venmo, CashApp, crypto for new users and keep CC only for repeat ones.
I had posted it that Atomik and Solution are apparently doing it too.
Can we ask the same from vendors? Like show videos and pics of your warehouses or 3PL centers?
Everyone's is trying to fleece the customers, Hospira, BAC vendors, pep vendors.

@pep_researcher not a new account and have previously ordered from Puratek four or five times over the period on months.

@gym.rat I thought you were saying there were other complaints other than this. I dont really have any allegiance to any company but of the ones Ive used Puratek has been my favorite recently so wanted to see what else is being said about them but couldnt find anything besides this post. I had a recent purchase with Puratek with one of the new processors and it was asking for more information. I called and spoke to the owner who explained that bytenft uses cryptocurrency in the background for settlement which is why it does require more information for some payments but not all. He directed me to another option he has available which was through paypal and was seamless. Just a heads up if you do run into the issue, owner seemed really open to chatting and addressing my concerns. Will definitely continue to use them unless something else pops up that Im not aware of.

I have also purchased from Puratex last month, not a problem with payment whatsoever. I payed with CC.

Update: Puratek did reach out directly to support clearing up any concerns. Tony at Puratek mentioned this review/post and provided a lengthy commentary on the backend processing of their payment systems which include primarily PayPal which requires no verification and ByteNFT that does require verification due to requirements around cryptocurrency conversions happening in the backend transactions. I can appreciate their follow up. I’m not sure if the process has been reconciled or cleaned up as of the email (07/10) which was most of my concern with Puratek. Not my only concern but again the products that I’ve researched have been fine and competitive in the past and prior to my more recent experiences. I personally have several other sources for my pep needs that I’m happy with and will continue to transact with today and tomorrow. I’m personally paying attention to what I would consider real reviews and not “reactive” positive reviews to determine my approach with Puratek. I mean no harm to them. Health, identity and finances are not things that I’m ok with taking on more risk than needed or being compromised.

Puatek needs to get this fixed. I used their products and I think they are great. They are perfect for people not buying in bulk. BUT if they don’t get this payment crap ironed out, people will find the next best place to buy singles and never look back… Hoping they fix it even though I don’t really buy singles anymore.

Agree on both fronts. Puratek has been very conversational in regards to this concern. They have implemented some changes that they have tested in the ByteNFT process reporting it to be less problematic. They are also adding a new onboarding process w/ a new payment processor that should be more straight forward if one to chooses to use that route. I see them making attempts to better their service.

As I understand it, and this is not gospel, there are a few vendors doing this now due to buyers making a purchase, then, canceling the purchase on their credit cards. Puratek is not the only one changing their payment system. I don't know if it's true, that's just what I'm reading and hearing in the background.

@Eleanor agree the scenario you describe is valid but not the one that prompted the concern nor is it the scenario that Puratek appears to be actively addressing.
I’ve also seen some suppliers transitioning to different payment systems as this space is tricky. Puratek is specifically improving ByteNFT’s payment process and it is actually only one of several payment processors that use CC transactions on their website. Options are good.
I’ve been pleased with their product offering and now it’s good to see that Puratek is improving the end to end experience or at least making it as easy as it once was for their customers. -
@gym.rat It's pretty clear you've already made up your mind about Puratek, and that's your prerogative. I simply shared my own firsthand experience, which apparently you have a problem with because it doesn't fit the narrative you're trying to push. Yes, the payment verification was more cumbersome than I'd prefer. I said that from the beginning. But I also received good pricing, quality products, and responsive customer service. Sharing that experience doesn't make me a "simp", it makes me someone giving an honest account of my transaction.
What I find concerning is that you're making some of the strongest accusations in this thread despite obviously not having actually purchased from Puratek. Calling the company "shit" suggesting positive reviews are "plants," and questioning the motives of anyone with a different experience is a pretty serious leap when you don't have firsthand knowledge. There's a big difference between saying, "I had a bad experience," and building a case against a company based on assumptions. Readers can decide for themselves which carries more weight.
For what it's worth, I buy from multiple vendors, and Puratek is only one of them. I decided to try Puratek because they have a pretty good tiktok presence with multiple affiliates singing their praise and an owner who can be reached simply by calling the number listed on the site. I have no reason to defend any company beyond accurately describing my own experience. If my experience changes, I'll say that too. Until then, I'd rather discussions be based on actual customer experiences than speculation and accusations.
