Switching from Retatrutide to Tirzepatide — Dose conversion advice?
-
Thats the key to Reta. Turns out the protein content is sick. BTW if this were true half you sickos would be in a TG chat tonight looking for a GB.

You need to eat people.
I just want to point out the importance of punctuation. Made me laugh. That might be why I'm having issues, I'm not eating people.

Stop it....

@BeeKind good one. Haha. Hey a few months ago I came across a video of some DNA testing ground beef. Guess what they claim it came back as?
@EXTROPIAN I believe it. I haven't seen any new cemeteries in my lifetime, have you?

I'm currently planning to switch my protocol from Retatrutide to Tirzepatide and could use some advice on equivalent dosing. I'm currently on 2mg per week, what would that be for Tirz?

What others are saying about Tirz dosage is essentially correct. You will not get the glucagon pathway but of course, you will get the other 2; GLP-1 & GIP.
I've heard from a couple of different people on this and other forums that Tirz and Reta didn't quite get them to goal weight and is becoming a struggle. Well, yeah; it's much harder to drop the pounds as your body diminishes in fat content. The poster above who said exercise is key is right as rain; it doesn't have to be hard exercise either. I use resistance bands and love them.
If I knew before I started on weight loss peps what I know now, I would have worked the peps very differently and left the GIP component for last. Tirz is not your only alternative. Remember that you have Cagri and Survo you can work with, neither of which are GIP agonists.

I always see people say Tirz has better appetite suppression but at the same time people talk about using 2-4mg of Reta. What's the appetite suppression of 10mg of reta like? It wouldn't do so well in the trials if it wasn't suppressing appetite. People would out eat the glucagon effect of the weight loss. Of course 2-4mg of reta isn't going to suppress appetite like 12-15mg of Tirz.

It does provide appetite suppression but they are designed differently. If you look at the curve of dosage to side effects of Reta above 10 the gain is tiny but the side effects go way up.

Dr Jones DC has Reta down and simply explains it. He has quite a few videos covering Reta. He covers Tirz as well. Subscribe he is good. I just happen to agree with him from experience. Reta is not perfect but we figured out how it can be dialed to make it beneficial to the individual.

Dr. Kevin Joseph, on the other hand, lost over 150#, pulled back and started micro-dosing, got too slack and gained 20# back before he caught himself and started peps and exercise again. He is a big fan of Reta too, as well as the others. He and I have debated on a few occasions and he doesn't mind. Here's one that's interesting. He surprised me with this one, but will pass, for now. (Too much!)

Apologies if someone else has said it, but GLP-1’s aren’t like whiskey, where dosing has the same potency per volume/units(ignore cask strength. So 1mg Sema is not the same as 1mg Tirz is not the same as 1mg Reta, and approaching it that way is likely to make you sick.
I generally recommend starting at the lowest dose and titrating up to find what works, since people don’t all respond to different versions the same way, and most people seem to not like explosive diarrhea.

https://youtu.be/Urx7b7XxU4A?is=f9nir97G9Paq9KG9@EXTROPIAN I love his content but his prices are insane and his team doesn’t always respond or follow up. I would place him in the higher end of concierge medicine. The full package for my bride would have been 5-6k/month. (Just their HRT rates were pretty reasonable but high compared to other telehealth companies.)

@ResearchCat I ment he is informative. As for his services. I am not paying for someone to hold my hand.
