    Tirzepatide is now approved to lower cardiovascular death, heart attack, or stroke risk in adults with type 2 diabetes.

    Pretty major expansion even if it is only for T2 diabetics (at the moment?)

    Retatrutide is going through Stage 2 trials for it at the moment

      Hmm. Since most people who have cardiac, certainly not all, are likely overweight (even 10-15#), for some reason, I see this as a gift to Lilly.

        @Eleanor It’s not a gift if you pay for it… and they most certainly did either legally or not. 😎

            I can't wait to see all of the things they discover as testing continues.

            Just someone with a fridge full of research and a browser history that would concern my doctor.

              Awesome news! 90% of the people I talk to are still convinced that anyone who takes a GLP-1 is going to die, but those are all people who believe science is real. (Snark aside, the first part is true.)

                    What they constantly leave out is if you stop eating the poisoned 'slop and correct you leaky gut. Most deceases will be prevented. GLPs are just metabolic damage control.

                      @EXTROPIAN 100%.

                      There was an article in the Wall Street Journal last month about these kids who are on GLP-1’s at 9 because they weigh 300 lbs. That is a parenting problem. Move out of the city and give your kid a bike. And maybe no Ho-Ho’s after 6PM. (Or before 6 PM)

                        @EXTROPIAN that could be the culprit (or one of the paths). People with heart problems or suspected to be at risk group are often on statins. Statins are known to suppress the gut bacteria strains that produce GLP-1. So, trying to help your heart makes a damage to your gut which can be addressed by GLP-1 agonists, thus helping your heart in the end.

                          @ResearchCat this generation doesn't go outside to play - that's the biggest issue, then you have all the crap in our foods and the garbage they feed the kids at school, they are set up to fail. It's so sad.

                          I agree parents need to take more accountability and stop relying on tiktok/youtube to raise their kids.

                            @BeeKind I know it. We ate loads of garbage and drank tons of soda when I was a kid, but we also ran around outside like maniacs until someone hollered that it was dinner time - or the street lights came on, since we were usually to far away to hear.

                              @ResearchCat I miss when it wasn't a scary thing for kids to knock on their friends doors and ask them to play. Now everyone is ready to take you out just for walking up on their property. I'm sad for the future.

                                      Same. I ate all sorts of garbage, breakfast cereal, candy and soda pop and somehow never gained a pound as a kid. These kids just aren't very active.

                                          My doctor was not happy when I told them that yes, I trust Jenny on TG more than I trust someone trying to prescribe Clomid.

                                          One day I will muster enough courage to come clean to my PCP and tell my entire stack. She's still under a sweet misconception that I'm on branded T and ONLY on that, and I have not busted that bubble YET. LOL

                                          I need some tweaking to clean up some of my blood markers. Hopefully it happens in the next few months, and then I might tell her — it was these UNSAFE products that did the magic. 🤞
