My Recent Southern Aminos Order Makes Them Fall From Grace
-
@southernaminos These are not isolated issues. I bought from you only ONCE NINE MONTHS ago, and even that was a poor experience. You sent me vials whose COA was nowhere traceable on your website or in your own COA library. I reached out to you and you sent me some other COA with DIFFERENT content and purity numbers saying this is the same batch when it was NOT.
I only bought two vials to test out a new vendor, you failed the test, and so I never bought from you again and so didn't try to escalate (which was good because you clearly don't do a good job in handling escalations).

WTH! A 2nd Update?:
SOUTHERN AMINOS
Important Product Label Notice
MOTS-C 40mg Yellow Cap
Batch Number Label Correction
This is a typographical error on the vial label only.
The error does not affect the contents of the vial, product quality, laboratory testing, or the validity of the Certificate of Analysis.
We recently identified that a small number of MOTS-C 40mg Yellow Cap vials were shipped with an incorrect batch number printed on the vial label. We want to be very clear: this was a typographical labeling error involving the batch number only. It was not a manufacturing issue, product integrity issue, testing issue, or Certificate of Analysis issue.
The affected vial can still be identified and verified using the QR code on the vial and the Yellow Cap color. The applicable Certificate of Analysis remains valid for the product.
Important Facts
✓ The issue is limited to a typographical error in the batch number printed on the vial label.
✓ The error does not affect the product's quality or integrity.
✓ The Certificate of Analysis remains valid.
✓ The vial can still be verified using its QR code and Yellow Cap color.
✓ This does not affect every MOTS-C 40mg Yellow Cap vial.
✓ Only a small number of vials shipped prior to the correction were affected.
Replacement Options
Although this labeling error does not affect the product itself, we understand that some customers may prefer to have a vial displaying the corrected batch information.Unused & Unopened Vials
If your affected vial is unused and unopened, you may request a replacement vial with the corrected label.
Opened or Used Vials
If the vial has already been opened or used, we cannot provide a replacement vial. However, upon request, we can provide you with a corrected replacement label that can be applied to your existing vial.
Again, this is a labeling typo only.
It does not change the identity, quality, testing, or Certificate of Analysis associated with the product.
The labeling issue was corrected as soon as it was identified, and only a limited number of vials shipped before that correction were affected. We apologize for any confusion this typographical error may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
If you have an affected vial and would like to request either an eligible replacement or a corrected label, please contact Southern Aminos Customer Service.

Personally, I think an employee made a simple mistake that's turned into a complicated problem. My guess is that they are still scrambling to find out precisely what happened to exactly which products. I'm not happy with the situation but I'm not crucifying the company for it either. Other people here have that right to do so if they wish. I support them for that right and standing by their convictions.

@Nuncles I agree with you Nuncles, but as in my days in school, it was called 'proofreading'. In the petrol business we called it 'cold eyes'. Since this has happened previously (@pep_researcher ), they should have been particularly careful but even so, their response to the customer leaves much to be desired. I think you handled it well in your review.

@pep_researcher it raises a bigger issue on Quality control overall it’s a big stay away right now.

I just wanted to provide an update. This is not to change anyone's opinion. This is simply for full transparency for what's going on with my initial post. I emailed Sothern's customer service asking for full clarification of my situation. They emailed back within 3 hours with a very clear and professional response with the appropriate COA for my vials. It was as I expected, the Freedom COA. Hopefully this is a batch that Freedom got accurate. I'm going to recon one of the vials tomorrow. If there are any issues with the recon, I will definitely provide an update. I will be using Hospira Bac Sodium Chloride.
