      Yeah...you have to let your wallet be your guide on this one 😜 In nutritional ranked order (seriously, big differences):

      Sturgeon- I look for 1kg tins which is where best value per gm/oz is found and last me 1.5-2 weeks per tin in spite of the suggestion they be used in days. I keep the tin(s) in a vacuum bag except when serving. Look for discounts which is what I do. I personally like Bester, but others are good and can be found on Amazon.

      Paddlefish is an alternative but releases oil in the tin and flavor/texture not as nice, price is approx -50% vs sturgeon.

      Salmon roe is even lower cost per gm/oz but definitely an acquired taste, buy the wild ones shipped frozen!

      Trout/flying fish roe is wholly inferior nutritional quality, I would not use.

      Repair...Optimize (roe)...Uncouple. My big picture protocol.

      This approach I'm sure sounds batshit crazy to some, but serious researchers will understand.

        I have only ever considered running both at the same time. Complimentary in every way. No such thing as "repair" then "grow" in my point of view, silly concept.

        My stack: SS-31/NAD+/MOTS/5-AMINO to start, titrated up in frequency/dose, then when I completed and discontinued the SS-31 50mg per day for 60 days, added O-304/SLU/BAM-15 to the others. LOVE IT. Keep in mind, I am very well optimized in general, so working on the top of the pyramid. Not the stack for everybody depending upon individual sensitivities.

        Freebie- if you are serious about optimizing mitochondria, you darn well better be incorporating the very best EPA/DHA/DPA sources, specifically fish eggs, preferably sturgeon (suggest the reader research it as I did). The fatty acids are taken up into the all your cell membranes over time. It's freaking crazy stuff, search it and learn it. No one ever talks about this...except me. A "superpower" addition to a serious and effective mitochondrial stack. You're welcome 😁

            A couple steps up from "the bottom", as finances allow. Better flavor, texture, coloration, roe size, and not as much oil comes out and collects in the bottom of the tin (some may enjoy this or not care in exchange for better "value").

            All the same nutrient benefits accrue regardless of species as long as it is sturgeon, just becomes a matter of sensory appreciation.

            Mitochondrial optimization is so multi-faceted, it is a lot of fun to explore and research. A shit-load more to it than just "running 2mg SS-31 every few days"...haha 😀 I am going in for labs (again) this Friday AM, and two weeks ago submitted my second quarterly TruDiagnostic blood sample for methylation and telomere testing and all the other stuff they do. BTW I have been very hard-core carnivore for 2 3/4 years now.

                @peptidepete I love everything about you recommending caviar to supplement my peptide research. I think this year’s barbeque is going to feature a ‘metabolic enhancement’ table along with 8 different kinds of smoked meat. 🤣

                  All was as expected, essentially same/same with exception of telomere biological age where I went from 50.6->48.7 in the elapsed period of 3 months...lol (I am 65 years old). Was that attributable to my 10mg/20night course of Epithalon? Maybe. I take other stuff too...so...

                  Oh yeah- that is the TruDiagnostic stuff. My regular and customary labs which I do every 4-6 weeks are pristine.

                  Also as noted either here or somewhere, I live right, eat right (carnivore for nearly 3 years), resistance exercise (never cardio) and pin peps using aggressive protocols.

                    I always shop the buy 2 get one free sturgeon egg sales. 1kg lasts me and the wife nearly 2 weeks. If finances allow it is a KEY piece of puzzle along with meats from multigastric animals and correct seafoods. It's all science and evolution backed. Just don't ever eat Monkfish liver (or ANY fish liver), FULL of PFAS, I found out the hard way...😞

                      Update related to SS-31. Because sometimes my decisions are wrong I deployed an aggressive SS-31 course to fix a mistake. I started to research a course of Ostarine (SARM). Big fucking mistake, all sorts of bad reactions- cardiac, cognitive, energy, that shit is pure poison. I stopped it within 7 days and immediately began 40mg daily SS-31 to good end. I will continue the repair protocol for a total of 4 weeks.

                      SS-31 for the win. The stuff is pure gold. Find the high-mg per vial and low-cost per/mg to help with affordability. I shopped several sales to STOCK UP big time.
