I actually wouldn’t use a pen for more than 25iu of anything.
Even if you filled the cartridge up with 3ml, at 25iu thst is only 12 shots. Any less than that and I wouldn’t go through the hassle filling cartridges.
So I would just say use a regular 100iu insulin syringe
I hear that, but then again, 12 shots at that rate is 3 months worth, assuming weekly doses?
@commander When going to higher does, like 10mg, what is the recommended way to accomplish this with a pen that only dials to 60? I assume just dial 60 and inject, and while needle is still in dial 40 and push that?

If you are trying to dose 1mg you would need to go to 10iu on the pen. 10 clicks if you pen increments 1 iu at a time
That's what I'm realizing now, so yeah I've been dosing at 1/10 of what I thought I was. No wonder I've had no side effects LOL.
I started with a 20mg vial, which I reconstituted with 2ml of bac water.
I then transferred this to my pen cartridge, which holds 3ml/300 units, so it didn't fill it completely.
I then dialed what I thought was the correct dosage, of 1 "click" being equal to 1mg of dosage, so for 2mg, I dialed the pen to "2", for 6mg, dialed to "6" etc.
I've been doing this for the past several weeks, and I just realized that I may be doing it wrong, and only dosing 1/10th of the dosage I should? In other words, for a 10mg dose, I should be dialing the pen to "100" instead of "10"? My pen actually only goes to 60, so I would have to dial to 60, inject that, and then 40 more?
