Super beginner question (Reta and Klow)
-
I’m going to be starting Reta and Klow. I’m new to peptides and after doing the research, I landed on starting with Reta (.25mg), evaluating how my body responds, and starting Klow after the evaluation period. My question is, at what point should I start Klow, knowing that there’s a possibility to increase to .5mg after a period of time. Any insight would be supportive. Thank you!

i would say be careful of going up too fast. but the protocol of bumping your dose every 4 weeks seems more than safe. listen to your body. ultimately if youre still losing weight and having hunger reduction and you arent having any of the harsh negative side effects. ive heard of guys never going past 2 or 4. but it depends on you and your ts body.

I think your plan is good. You can research Reta and Klow together, but starting new peptides by themselves so you can monitor their effect and adjust is very useful. Like quicksilver says, increasing monthly is a pretty standard protocol.
Welcome!

@curiousseeker One other thing I'd mention from my own experience starting Reta: remain calm. I also started at 0.25mg and worked up slowly. My first dose though was... weird. Not at all bad. Just weird. I had been warned possible side effects included nausea. I didn't get nauseous. I did get a slightly odd feeling that might have been nausea adjacent, but wasn't unpleasant. Didn't get that feeling after the first couple of doses, even though I've gone up in dose since then.
I mention all this so in the event you feel something weird you find it easier to remain calm: at that low a dose you are going to be fine

Good points. The two main side effects I got when I was on tirz for a while were constipation and just not eating. You don’t notice them at first. I had to force myself to eat for a while. That is why I am now on the lowest dose.
The nausea and diarrhea get all the attention. They are the GLP-1 side effects rock stars.

@ResearchCat if you are having constipation. i cant promote the no/low carb mission tortillas any more than i have. they also have keto bread thats insanely high in fiber. if they dont work. prune juice warmed up with a knob of butter will move a mountain through the eye of a needle. lord haha

@quicksilver80
I find 1000mg of Vit C in the morning and another 1000 with dinner keep me constant in this area. -
@stan-douglas I find taking high dose magnesium (particularly Magnesium Breakthrough ) fixes any drift towards constipation (and is less acidic
) -
I started at 2mg had zero side effects, I don't see how microdose does anything. unless your 100lbs then what are you doing taking it? lol

@brandenscheidecker weirdly enough i had more side effects than a friend that is allergic to the air basicly.which is great for them. but im like. now how the heck does that work? haha

Side effects vary a lot from person to person. My bride is on a much higher dose of Tirz than me. She doesn’t get the side effects I get, and she doesn’t get the suppression of desire for booze or other stuff(games, etc).
Thanks for the suggestions all. Will try them.

@researchcat Do remember to check pancreatic enzymes when on high doses... many Doctors miss it. I have a personal friend who was hospitalized with pancreatitis from his physician prescribing basically the max dose out the gate. Not a common side effect, but a serious one, and one you can monitor for very cheaply.
-
Yeah, my pancreatic numbers were high a few months ago and I lowered my dose. Currently focused on the cardiac signs, but will get tested again in June and hopefully the numbers will be normal. My bride’s labs were a lot better than mine.
My inflammation numbers were all very high, but everything is being addressed. Sadly, I had to go back on a statin as all that bullshit everyone on Youtube says did not, in fact, improve any of my numbers the way statins do. I will just snort more creatine and dihexa to fight off dementia later.

I take my Magnesium in the evening... I don't think I'd want it to do that
The VitC acts as a co-factor to activate the collagen in the bone broth I drink post workout. Stacks with the Creatine and healing peps for tissue repair and joint resilience... IN MY RAT!

@brandenscheidecker Just goes to show you that everyone is different. I started at 1mg and on week 5 i'm only at 1.5mg b/c it jacks me up. I can't imagine doing anything above 2mg as I'd probably not be able to get out of bed. Extreme lethargy for the first 48 hours and food noise is basically 90% gone. I'm an already lean 46 year old former athlete who just wants the extra health benefits and missing 2 pack to join the existing 4 pack. So maybe I'm just sensitive, but I think Reta is some powerful stuff. No nausea, but the raise in heart rate can be bothersome and it affected my sleep the first week or two. Very mild constipation as well, but as someone else already mentioned magnesium fixes that right up. I would also advise drinking lots of water. Do with this info what you may....
To Branden...have you tried Reta from a different vendor? I'm in the habit of mixing up my product vendors for sampling reasons, but I'm still on my OG vial of Reta.
