Hello all sorry beginner here! I've started my ghk journey with 1mg subq once a day and only did my second shot earlier today. First site developed a welt/scar but second one left no scar or redness at all. I was wondering since many of you seem to have cycled/used GHK cu for a while, have the scars form injection sites faded away? I have looked online but I don't see much about the specific injection site scars. Have experience with tirzepatide but that one has never left any scars. Thanks for the input ๐Ÿ™‚

next vial might want to up the bac water. think randy wrote about it. possibly needle choice? other tidbit is my body dislikes pinning in very localized areas. ive learned the area under the love handle or getting near the pubic area seems to be the thinnest easiest pinning spot for me. if those fail then im out of ideas. good luck! update if you find a answer.

        Scaring or bruising? HUGE difference!
I reconstituted my vial into a 10mL bottle and separated into two 25U doses for 2.5mg a day. Still left mild bruising.
I also experimented into injecting it near my rat's shoulders, hips, knees and elbows subconsciously and my lil rat seemed very pleased with the sensation the next day.

i filled it into a pen so 50mg/3ml bac and have been using a 31g 6mm pen tip.. i was just excited to use the pen but i will probably draw it out with an insulin syringe and further dilute each dose. my first shot was more gluteal and that left the welt and the second was more inner thigh near pubic area and that seemed to do the trick. i'm noticing now just some redness but no raised skin there. thanks will do ๐Ÿ™‚ was scared to continue this journey but the second shot gave me hope

i'm more talking about the actual insertion site scar! just mentioned the bruising for context. i understand bruising/redness will go away but the insertion site is looking like a big scab now ๐Ÿ˜ž may have been user error as my second shot does not have any scar. i'm pretty pain tolerant but i also don't want to end up being scarring my skin with pokes 90x after a cycle in the hopes of trying to clear my skin LOL

Disclaimer: Never researched yet, but planning to soon.

Gathered info: keeping dilution at 5-10mg / ml seems to significantly reduce stinging and bruising. Pinning in glutes or love handles, and avoiding stomach, seems to reduce or eliminate ISRs.

              Hope that helps.

I have occasional bruising/welts. If it bleeds and you donโ€™t wipe it with alcohol, you could get a tiny scab, I guess. With shorter pen needles, I rarely get ISRโ€™s anymore - thatโ€™s injection site reaction - but with all the pinning, it does happen.

I get far fewer ISRโ€™s with pens than i did when i started and was using 30/31 ga 12mm needles. You want a nice bruise? Go IM on your Tirz shot. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Every day that I wake up is further evidence of my immortality.

@ResearchCat this is so interesting! I currently use 29g 13mm for my tirz shots and have never had any issues. was so excited to use my new pen with 31g 6mm and the actual puncture was actually negligible as far as pain so me scabbing/getting an ISR was probably user error lol. went for the glute for my first shot and probably hit it crooked. I'll need to wipe with alcohol after the injection site as well and dilute more as others have said. i appreciate the insight!

I like injecting Tirz on the back of my arm, which was fine before I lost 35 lbs, but now If I do that, since I canโ€™t pinch, it goes into the muscle. Not a problem on the muffin tops.

@keurimm if i dont pinch the skin and just poke. it can bruise. if i go at a weird angle it sometimes stings. if i reinsert the needle even once into the vial it will dull these tiny needles enough to hurt or bruise. lots of little things add up.
