Looks Like An Allergy To GHK-CU Injection

I gotta tell ya, I have red welts, pretty big ones in several places on my arse. It looks like I sat down on some ground hornets (look it up if you don't know). They itch like crazy sometimes and I think it's an allergic reaction & probably the #31/100ml needle/syringe. The needles are spindly and tend to bend a bit with the slightest poke. The face and neck cream doesn't affect me in the least. Being the child of a lot of redheads in the family tree, it doesn't surprise me.

I'm laying off the injection and if I start back, it won't be every day for sure.

I drew mine out of the vial and into a 10mL bac water!
I would have to do 2 draws per night but it only left little bruises on my uniratasaur instead of the big ugly welts the copper leaves.

Copper is definitely rough, but worth it. My rat, and my bunny has the same issue. Diluting it even more helps alot. Watch @randy talk about it here.

Still not painless, but definitely better. Also, I find that different injection spots act differently. The first day I took an Allegra to minimize the histamine reaction, it helped.

Some people use GHK, without Cu. It should have the same effect but without copper overload.

@stan-douglas @snake-pepskin @vpeptides That's what I did to begin with; a total over just over 13mls. It's my funky immune system since I had Lyme. Maybe every other day at a smaller dose. Will see.

Molecular weight is small to make it into a nasal spray. Dilute with .9% saline solution to utilize as a nasal spray.

sounds to me like your rat is having a histamine reaction to your injection, you should give your rat a zyrtec for a few days and start over.
Pry noting wrong with your research solution as long as you took precautions with alcohol wipes, new syringes etc.. Pry nothing to do with needle, just Rats immune system is reacting.

@Eleanor what has worked for me is to put some cortisone anti itch cream on right after the dose. After a week I didn’t need to do it anymore but I initially got a reaction and this stopped it

I'm going to try the cortisone and also less dose, plus take some zinc. Current dose is 3mg; I started on 5/23. I obviously can't take that big a dose right now and not sure I need it.

Found one and thank you again. Is your rat being injected midsection or glute with this? Without copper, I wouldn't think there's a sting, but don't want to be surprised and start howling like Wisegal's hubby!

If just the Allegra or Zyrtec doesn’t work, try adding pepcid and make it a combo. They work on 2 different H receptors and that has helped calm my RS’s injection site reactions!
