Peptide Test message about Hospira pricing

Message received from Peptide Test. Let the panic buying begin!

Hi everyone,
We want to give you advance notice of some upcoming disruptions in the market for Hospira bacteriostatic water. We are being told by our wholesalers that Pfizer is in the process of another large price increase which may be as high as 65%. Because of that our pricing will very likely be going up in the near future.
This isn't a decision we're happy about. We've built this business around trying to offer the best available pricing on legitimate Hospira products and keeping other lab supplies available and fairly priced as well. We even recently lowered our ground shipping rates to help smaller buyers. That focus hasn't changed, but unfortunately this pending increase is simply a result of what Pfizer is charging us.
To give you fair notice and time to plan, all of our current BAC water inventory will stay at the current price until it sells out. Once that stock is gone, it is likely that new pricing will take effect. If you've been planning to order, now is a good time to do so.
To make sure everyone has a fair chance at current pricing while supplies last, we're limiting orders to 25 vials per customer per day.
We are constantly checking pricing in the wholesale market and doing everything within our power to mitigate this situation.

Glad I spent some time figuring out alternatives. If Pfizer wants to be next Lilly or Novo, they won't sustain this price gouging for long.

@pep_researcher Yup gotta give them credit, they know how to stir things up and get the frenzy going. Probably have a bunch of inventory to move
Hospira isn't this dumb if they ever raised the price 65pct a new market will emerge. Welcome, Lambda and others. My spidey sense says here we go again.
-
@Atlas No one can tell you that. That's like asking how many units of pep! It depends on your usage. Some may have 1 vial last 3 months, some 1 month, some 15 days.
You have to be sovereign to decide that for yourself but you should also stop falling for every time someone calls "wolf"!
-
@Atlas I mean buy 3 bottles. IMO, I wouldn't buy years' worth, it will just expire and this is likely a nothing burger.
There was another post in another thread, I believe by @commander where they raised the price while he tried to order or something and claimed it was automated because Hopsira raised the price. They did honor the old price.
-
@Stevepep lol that's a truly interesting take. Definitely possible.
But indeed they had stopped doing that only 600 vials per day thing for a couple of weeks now and now this message. Sounds highly sus.

They’ll continue to price gouge no doubt oof
Underground just posted results for nexus bac, results look good

@WisGal64 That pH is still way high. Ideally all good grade BACs including cell culture lab sterile water sits around 5.5.
-
@pep_researcher it’s within the range tho?

@WisGal64 It might mess up peps sensitive to pH and needing lower pH. H BAC sits right around 5.5 and that's why it gets strongly recommended to recon most peps.

Looks like Bacteriostaticwater.com & Westend medical went up to $19.99 as well. Might be worth looking into Lambda as it has passed 3rd party testing.

@SoySebastian Don't need BAC for the next few months at least and not gonna to keep falling for fear mongering.
Let the dust settle, everyone will come down. H BAC shortage and price hype cycle has repeated over the past couple of years ever since RUO world exploded and now there is more peptide craze in TikTok and doctors talking about them.
Albert Einstein said - repeating the same mistake and expecting different outcome is insanity. lol

@pep_researcher Definitely the right approach. If anything, panic buying in any setting has shown us that it's unneeded as the market always self adjusts.

@SoySebastian Yup also I don't know why people keep forgetting that we are in the world's most capitalist country, free markets. When there is demand there will be options.
I'm thinking of writing an anonymous letter to Pfizer CEO to repackage and sell H BAC as "research only BAC water" DIRECT to consumer and make huge profits. Remove these asshole middlemen fear mongering and price gouging.
Like Direct Buys for peps, direct buys for H BAC!

503A & B pharmacies use Hospira, not to mention hospitals, clinics & cosmetics enterprises. I would venture the large hospitals and clinics across the U.S. have contracts with Pfizer.
@Eleanor Yes I know. I'm saying they could as well launch RUO BAC and make huge profits.

Oh yeah, I agree with you. I think The Medicare Plan might have something to do with Pfizer's price increase too. Just a huge number of people who don't want to roll their own are going for it!
I feel sure there are more irons in the fire on this one as @wisgal64 pointed out. Working on one now. Asked for stats. If I get them, I will post it.
