I got an email from an Amsco rep (apparently you get put on an email list with no unsubscribe button when you create an account) and it says the price to distributors is going up at the end of the month and they expect a box of 25 to go to $500 when that takes effect (currently at $315 per box). I am not sure how they expect to sell any with a price increase like that. Maybe they will, though. Pretty soon Hospira is going to cost more than the peptides, lol.

Makes me think we will start seeing blow out sales a couple months before the expiration dates going forward. It would be funny if they are unable to sell any.

@Shifted This might backfire if they are trying price gouging. Just today FDA committee cleared 4 popular peps for compounding, one of them is BPC, don't remember others.

They are making decisions on 4-5 more tomorrow. Pharmacies like Empower are already geared up to start production.

Also after the last wave of FDA activities against compounded Tirzepatide everything is back to business as usual.

Then the flooding towards RUO may go down and demand for Hospira too, and its prices too. Just a guess.

$500 is ridiculous… If it goes to that a better solution will pop up.

I have a feeling that BAC water from India is going to be real popular soon…

@Eleanor I don't think this is the same Genetek company as the Indian one.

The Indian Genetek BAC comes in small 10ml plastic ampoules. Randy had posted an Indiamart link.

People, let's wait and see. How many times have we seen this in the last two years? It's always been a ploy to get people to order like mad. Send an email "order now because the price is going to double". Look at peptide test after the big 60Pct price hike email. Still the same price over a month later, and no order restrictions, no sell-outs per day.

The sad part is it works and gets people in a frenzy, so they go back to it over and over and move a bunch of inventory when sales slow down.

@Stevepep I totally agree with you. When people get scared of something getting close to being a shortage, it causes panic and drives up sales. Is a supple and demand market. Look how many times it drove up sales in just toilet paper and even Isopropyl alcohol. Living on the East coast every time there's a threat of a hurricane people buy in bulk and stock up. Prices go up due to scarcity. (Gas) We really need to follow the money and see who has the larger stake in increased market sales. It sure is not me.

These prices are actually higher than if Hospira was $500 a case…
The goal is lower prices, not higher ones. It needs to be below $10 for 30ml.

Exactly. I will never purchase from Peptidetest again. And I used to buy all my BAC water, needles, syringes from them. They went from having $11 bottles available all day to then saying there is a shortage and doing daily drops of 600 bottles so you should buy now at $15 a bottle and limiting you, to now having as many as you want 400 vial boxes available and a new single vial price of $16.50 a bottle. All in the span of what 2-3 months? I don't believe there is an actual shortage. But they and others were able to create a temporary artificial supply issue and were able to move the avg price up across the market.

@commander I haven't looked at price since I first posted the link so I'll take your word for it.
@stevepep I can't speak for the world but don't think anyone is in a frenzy here, just looking for alternatives, in case. I think I bought a total of 3 whole vials while they were at $15 and have plenty; and I use a lot of BAC.

If you think Peptide Test is price gouging, check the prices at Farris lab. Almost equal to what retail pep vendors sell for $30 a bottle. I think a couple of others have also jacked up the prices.

Seriously, peptide test is selling for $3-4 per bottle more than Medex. And with medex you have to buy a case of 25 to get that price. Most pep vendors are selling it on their site for 25-30. I think we’re being a bit harsh on Peptide Test.

Also… when you couldn’t get it anywhere, they were still between 12-15 per. While everyone else was gouging at $20+. And they limited purchases so everyone gets a chance to stock up.

Honestly, I'm not sure why everyone is getting so worked up over a couple of dollars.

I thought about it, and single bottle pricing is really only a factor if you use a lot of BAC, like 30+ mL a month (if you use this much you probably aren't buying BAC by the bottle...)

@Snake-Pepskin It's not the price; it's the game people are referring to. There never really was a shortage; it lasted a couple of weeks at most. The price hike email said prices would go up 60%. Both times they sent these emails out, they were posted here, and they sold out. Oh, but then they got restocked 48 hours later during the "shortage". As I said, you can't blame the vendors; they have a crazed market that watches and listens to everything and reacts to it. It's a captive market. I am part of it. They have excess inventory, so make an announcement: "shortage" "price increases". Most companies slash prices in these situations, but not with a captive market; you just create some urgency.

There is also really no competition; there is only a handful of vendors, unlike the Peptide market where things are heating up, and prices are coming down. I suspect the fear tactic is coming to slow this down. "It's all going away, get it while you can". What is an issue is the CC processing, and it's not due to peptides its due to massive chargebacks that have made it very high risk. Even if you are the 1000-pound gorilla like Nexaph and your chargebacks are low, you are still impacted, and fees are increasing. Thus, the 25% crypto sale is purposeful and to get us used to using crypto in a comfortable way with a very solid vendor.

I wonder if Nexaph is trying to get their customers use to crypto now so they can move to crypto only payment in the future. So far they have been lucky avoiding their merchant servicer from dropping them for selling peptides. But I am sure big pharma will be pressuring merchant servicer even more to drop business that sell peptides.

@Stevepep I get it, as part of as Peptide Test and the emails and, the shortage . The thing is, whenever I needed BAC, and didn’t want to buy a case, they were there.

I don’t mind paying a little extra for stress relief. Ultimately, they’re still the cheapest I found for a short order.

@Commander I really think that’s what’s coming and why they did this major discount. I know the fees got jacked up recently as it’s viewed as very high risk due to a high rate of chargebacks. I suspect newbies order something try it for a week don’t feel or see any results and dispute the charge.
