Peptide Test message about Hospira pricing
-
Just saw this on Glaciar. Haven't ordered from them in a while, but was looking to try DSIP before I go to my usual EZ for single vials.
Reconstitution Warranty
Exchanges for reconstitution-related issues are only honored when our bacteriostatic water is used. Our water is independently 7X-tested for sterility and integrity before shipping. If a third-party water source was used, the product is not eligible for our Exchange Policy. -
Daro just sent out that Genetek back for testing, it looks like it came back good. He sees it… I never used it. Pricing is OK, not great. I think I still paid less for Hospira, but who knows what that will cost in the future
@Commander How did you get Genetek water finally? Contacted them directly or ordered from Indiamart?
I would guess it would be good. India is a big pharma hub and many Asian pep users use that brand according to Reddit posts.
BTW it looks like there's a Genetek US too. I was talking about those small ampoules one the Indian brand.

Very interesting, is this the one your talking about https://genetekusa.com/product/bacteriostatic-water/ I like how they have 10ml vials and 30ml vials.

@Stevepep But look at their prices and COAs?
pH above 6 already. H BAC sits around 5.5 that's a regulatory requirement. And Genetek prices are in H BAC range. What's the point in picking these over H BAC then?
High pH messes up pH sensitive peps and that explains why researchers often get a sludge right after recon.

@pep_researcher
I didn’t buy any. Daro Pep has the plastic ampules. As far as these https://genetekusa.com/product/bacteriostatic-water/ go, those prices are higher than Hospira... -

@pep_researcher I didn't do any research on it. I only care because Hospira is Pfizer, and like I said, it kills me to support them when they are trying to destroy this market. It makes me feel like a hypocrite. I got Lambda just to test and tested the pH, and it was 5.8. TDS 0, Brix came back around 9 pct Alcohol content. Brix can be slightly off; there is a conversion that they do, which I have no clue about. I haven't tried it at all to pin or constitute. I have to post the pictures I took at some point in that other thread. Gonna do the same with Parrox. Not sure if this is helpful or not, but it cost me nothing to have these types of tests done.

I don't think Pfizer cares about RUO market. The prices have skyrocketed because there is a shortage, due to a lot of illiterates flooding this space and ordering crates to throw away entire bottle after 28 days by using 2ml to recon Tirz vial.
H BAC is available only on prescription. When those things go on shortages the distributors have obligations to first satisfy demands of health facilities, and de-prioritize any other fringe research demands.
Then the middle men ration like Peptide Test or jack up prices to milk the shortage.
Don't overthink, I think Pfizer is a huge multinational corp. RUO is still a pretty small space in that comparison.

@pep_researcher I get it, it's a drop in the bucket to them. To me its not about the BAC. It's about the lobbyists who pay millions to try to kill peptides. A healthy population is bad for their business. I would rather not support them even if our market is a tiny part of their earnings. I also don't want to take an unnecessary risk, so there's that.

Message received from Peptide Test. Let the panic buying begin!

Hi everyone,
We want to give you advance notice of some upcoming disruptions in the market for Hospira bacteriostatic water. We are being told by our wholesalers that Pfizer is in the process of another large price increase which may be as high as 65%. Because of that our pricing will very likely be going up in the near future.
This isn't a decision we're happy about. We've built this business around trying to offer the best available pricing on legitimate Hospira products and keeping other lab supplies available and fairly priced as well. We even recently lowered our ground shipping rates to help smaller buyers. That focus hasn't changed, but unfortunately this pending increase is simply a result of what Pfizer is charging us.
To give you fair notice and time to plan, all of our current BAC water inventory will stay at the current price until it sells out. Once that stock is gone, it is likely that new pricing will take effect. If you've been planning to order, now is a good time to do so.
To make sure everyone has a fair chance at current pricing while supplies last, we're limiting orders to 25 vials per customer per day.
We are constantly checking pricing in the wholesale market and doing everything within our power to mitigate this situation.
@pep_researcher - I was ready for some so I went ahead and ordered 5 @$15 from PT with the free shipping which will hold me over for a while. I also use Hospira NaLc BAC for some peps and Genetek BAC (India). I see a lot of folks going with Lambda, but not enough of a gap from Hospira price for me. Genetek has been excellent and cheap as chips.

@pep_researcher And just like that, prices are back to where they were on Peptide Test, imagine that.

@Stevepep They are still charging $16.5 per my browser. But they removed that 25 per order limit now.
See I was saying this all along that this cycle has been going on for the past couple of years now. Yet people fall for someone calling wolf every time again and again

@pep_researcher In fairness to all the Chicken Littles, the powers that be shutting down vendors and content creators along with supply disruptions does nothing to encourage more prudent behavior. And it isn’t like a lot of the content creators aren’t fueling the panic.

Isn't that gap nearly $30 per bottle? I got six 30ml bottles of Lamba for $54. They have been great and testing out nearly as well as Hospira (I believe even better in one test).

I got an email from an Amsco rep (apparently you get put on an email list with no unsubscribe button when you create an account) and it says the price to distributors is going up at the end of the month and they expect a box of 25 to go to $500 when that takes effect (currently at $315 per box). I am not sure how they expect to sell any with a price increase like that. Maybe they will, though. Pretty soon Hospira is going to cost more than the peptides, lol.
Makes me think we will start seeing blow out sales a couple months before the expiration dates going forward. It would be funny if they are unable to sell any.
