GHK-CU typically gives me sting like hours later but it's tolerable

Just someone with a fridge full of research and a browser history that would concern my doctor.

@Snake-Pepskin Not sure if saline BAC and Reta go together. I read multiple posts on Reddit. People tried reconstituting two Reta vials from the same batch using regular BAC and saline BAC — saline BAC turned it all gelly cloudy. Regular BAC was clear.

I’m sure it’s an over cautious theoretical risk, but why not use standard BAC? I didn’t catch the discussion on it.

Theory is saline BAC is isotonic, regular BAC is hypotonic. Isotonic liquid pins don't cause tissue stress that results in stinging or burning at research sites.

Single dose Zep vials or pens have saline sterile water base.

@pep_researcher the issue I guess is bacteria you have no protection if you use saline. Although I have contacts and it’s what we use to disinfect them. It’s all confusing

The Pfizer NaCl and other salines I see also have 0.9% alcohol. Are you talking about something other than those?

@Stevepep @eleanor Answered. When one says "saline BAC" it's always with 0.9% benzyl alcohol.

              • Sterile water — no sodium chloride, no benzyl alcohol
              • Sterile saline — sterile water, 0.9% sodium chloride, no benzyl alcohol
              • Regular BAC — sterile water, 0.9% benzyl alcohol
              • Saline BAC — sterile water, 0.9% sodium chloride, 0.9% benzyl alcohol.

                @Stevepep Further

                • Sterile Water, regular BAC — hypotonic, can cause tissue stress at research sites.
                • Sterile saline, saline BAC — isotonic, less tissue stress at research sites.

Having said that one cannot just use saline BAC for everything to avoid research site sting, because different peps interact differently with sodium chloride.

The posted chart is interesting although it may have some errors, like Reta + Saline BAC.

@pep_researcher so is mots ok with bac saline and why don’t we use it for other peptides it’s far cheaper and if less irritating why not? Like maybe ghk-cu

Go to Mot-c Reconstitution at peptide protocols (dot) app

With regard to the GHK-cu, I don't think copper will like it but I haven't checked.

@pep_researcher so let's correct it. What is your input/corrections?

@Snake-Pepskin I don't have authoritative guide on which peps are compatible with saline BAC.

General thumb rule — most are compatible with regular BAC, some from those will be good with saline BAC too, some will not like sodium chloride and can gel.

I gave an example that I saw someone posting on Reddit that Reta didn't like saline BAC when they tried two Reta vials from the same batch. I asked an AI tool too and it said Reta will gel with saline BAC but tirzepatide and semaglutide will be fine with it.

Gist — that chart is NOT the ground truth. But I don't have the ground truth. Will do a chat session with multiple AI tools when I've extra time on hand and find out for popular peps. 🙂

@Snake-Pepskin from my experience, AOD does not need acetic acid, been running it on my rat for months and i see no clumping and i def see results. So maybe instead of "required", the chart should say "optional" on that.

I agree, mostly. AOD is one of those temperamental compounds that I would always want to have AA at hand. Kisspeptin is another one that is very ph sensitive.

If the motivation of this topic is primarily to reduce stinging, I recommend a longer needle in a definite fatty area - butt cheeks. You will naturally diffuse it while driving to work. Ever since I went to 8mm Novafine (ceramic coated) needles for GHKCu, AOD, and NAD+, my girlfriend's big brown beaver reports very little stinging and no more welts. And this is simple to try.
                                      Yes. Beavers. They can talk.

I would not use NaCl Bac on NAD+. Have no idea why it's stating "SALINE HEAVILY PREF"?

@Eleanor Interestingly, in my first vial of buffered NAD I used NaCL bac water and it went fine without issues. I was thinking of this thread when i recon-ed my second vial and decided to use normal BAC water, both are Hospira.

Dosing at the same dose daily, I am getting much more stinging and legit bruising now using the normal BAC water. I did a little research about it and the interweb gods tell me that it can be expected with normal BAC water with NAD.

Not sure its true or not, but i can tell you my N=1 experience. Thought I would share.

@Eleanor My first vial of SS-31 was with sodium chloride, but on reconning my second I grabbed (by habit) my bac water. So I decided to try it and see how different it would be. Like you said, it really wasn't that different. I would say the irritation was noticeable for about 30 minutes with sodium chloride and about an hour for bac. I will admit though that reconned with twice as much bac as sodium chloride.
