TRT questions

@randy if this isnt allowed please nuke.
Im starting to look into TRT and would love for anyone to share any sources or info they might think could be helpful. I think I understand the range of dosing, but from what Ive seen in the very limited info I have been able to gather is that "grey" Test Cyp. would actually cost me more than if I went through one of the online services like Hims, AlphaMD, or TRT nation. I figure I must be missing something.
Thanks in advance.

I have used 3 different online clinics since I started the process this year. The price is going to mostly depend on how much you want your hand held through the process.
I just switched from TRT Nation to Talon wellness and I got 2 10ml vials of 200mg/ml Testosterone Cypionate for $160 plus I got a 10% veteran discount. Best deal Ive found so far besides finding a local PCP to prescribe it. -
@researchcat didn’t you use to do HIMS or something similar? What did that run?
-
Gray runs $70 for a single 10ml vial that’s a total of 2500mg. $250 a kit. My husbands trt was running $10 a week for insurance copay, pharmacy would only do one vial at a time, so it was cheaper to go gray.
-
@myb No, I haven’t gone down that rabbit hole yet. I was really trying to avoid it, but thinking about trying enclomiphene soon. Might try T if enclomiphene isn’t right.
-
The trt I get is listed as 250mg. It’s 250mg per mL and is a 10mL bottle, so 2500mg per bottle. Tracey sells kits so $150 is for a kit, I’m not sure of the size of bottles. Lots of people report PIP (post inj pain) with their product so found a different avenue. The group I’m in with a domestic chef is closed so no invite link available.

@jtcjeff Ive been on trt for probably 6 months, glad I did. I get it through my insurance, standard compounded Test C, 200mg/Ml dose is 20mg x 3 days a week. Some irritation, probably the carrier oil. Also picked up 2 grays as well. Both being the standard 250 per ml at 10ml. One from India, much nicer than the compounded. The other I have yet to try, but it's made with MCT and not a seed oil. Good thing these have a long shelf life!
I grabbed the grays only because insurance is known to just cancel shit. So, I wanted a backup plan in place should that happen. Cost was pretty cheap. About $40-50 for 10ml, depending on the source (includes shipping). -
Hims, AlphaMD, TRTNation and PeterMD all seem to be at the "$99" a month if you sign for a full year.
I have only found TRT at QSC. Im unclear on the pricing... they list it at $150 for 250mg. Is that a "kit" of 10 like peps, or a single vial?

This would be a good question for the meso forum. Not discounting any information or people here. Just thats their specialty. Just make sure to follow the rules because they dont mess around.

Curious, how long do each of these vials last for?
-
@imemphis18 dose dependent of course. I'm doing 60mg per week to start, so the compounded 200mg 1 ml vials last little over 3 weeks. The 2500mg 10ml viles will last 41 weeks each. But, after my first blood work I'll likely go to 100mg per week. They just wanted to start me low and slow. I get that.
-
Not sure how needle averse you are but if I could go back and give myself advice I'd offer this:
- Start low (you are doing it)
- Use HCG not enclomephine ( I responded poorly to it, others have good results)
- Do frequent injections. I tried weekly, eod, every mon/wen/fri for test and hcg. The mon/wed/friday is where I settled on as a happy spot. It leaves weekends open, levels stay nice and even.
- Use pens (they work for hcg and trt (29g needle) )
-
I agree with starting low, everybody is going to be different, and it will take a little while to get it dialed in. In the beginning I would get the bloodwork done quarterly. I've known several people who started with telehealth and started to high and had to deal with some side effects. I do test-c, 100mg a week, eod and that is my sweet spot. I use a pen with a 29g .5" needle. I've been lucky and found a local clinic and can get it compounded locally. My PPC wouldn't even discuss it, even know my levels were pretty low, "it happens when we get older". I am tempted to buy a kit from QSC and see if I can get it tested.

@falc after 6 months I wanted to get new blood work drawn, and they said no, we'll do I it in September. Wth? For once I WANTED to get it done and they said no? Tracey's pretty proud of his stuff, and they've been doing it a while. Take it for what it's worth. Problem is you cannot send it to a lab, at least not in the US. Janoshik yes, here no. Not unless it goes through the DEA, and the lab is approved by them to accept it. That's my understanding.

@Newenough I go through Questhealth and get the complete male hormone panel on my own, when I want. The only reason I still go through a clinic is to keep it legal and to keep access to a local compounding pharmacy. I have a few friends who buy through the online telehealth companies, but I am not sure it is any cheaper.
Getting it tested is what has kept me from buying it from a grey vendor, I figured it would be a hassle.
