My Recent Southern Aminos Order Makes Them Fall From Grace
-
I used one of their products, Tesamorelin, and it was good, a lot better than one from Peptide Crafters. I had this company in the "nice" list. But if they lightheartedly stick wrong labels to vials, it sounds dangerous. This time it is a wrong batch, next time it is a wrong product.
-
I've only placed one order with them which included nasal Selank. The top sprayer cap absolutely will not fit onto the bottle. I now just place the sprayer into the bottle and kind of hold it together while I spray. Annoying.
@DocCherie Did you leave a review?

Yeah they've been doing a couple of crazy things I bought mot c and reta use the same brand new bottle of bac water the reta was very cloudy The Mot c was clear they told me because I reconstituted them they cannot give me a refund how in the heck are you supposed to test the bottles if they're good if you don't reconstitute them? This does not make any sense at all I'll never do business with them again!!!

I thought I was seeing double because I had the exact same experience as you, eddiemejia. My Reta went cloudy after reconstitution and then gelled. What really caught my attention is that your vial has the exact same batch number as mine.
The interesting part in my case is that I have three vials from that same batch. One vial went cloudy and gelled, while the other two reconstituted just fine. So it clearly wasn’t something that happened consistently across every vial in the batch.
I reported it to Southern Aminos as well. Unfortunately, their first response was pretty accusatory and immediately seemed to put the blame on me. I followed up and eventually got someone with much better customer service skills, and they gave me store credit for the vial.
Still, the experience pushed me away from making future purchases from them. I’ve since moved on to Crush and Studz. I think Southern may have simply gotten too big too fast. I believe their intentions started out good, but if they don’t get their operations, logistics, and customer service under control, that will probably end up being their downfall.

Honestly the more I read about them and after my own experience, f these guys. Accusatory and put blame on a customer. Why deal with that nonsense? You and the original poster both have cloudy Reta and they still want to blame both of you guys.
@randy Honestly these guys should be blacklisted here. They just have terrible customer service. It's a shame if they continue to get purchases from users on this site when there are so many better vendors out there to use and are responsive here.

That shouldn't be on them. Thats why we have a community. Plenty of information is being provided here to inform people's decisions.

We want to publicly address the recent concerns regarding certain MOTS-C labels, batch identification, COA matching, and reports involving reconstitution.
First, regarding the MOTS-C labeling issue: we are aware that certain previously shipped vials contained labeling information that created confusion when customers attempted to match their vial to the corresponding testing documentation. We understand why that would raise concerns. Customers should be able to clearly identify the batch they received and connect it to the appropriate COA and testing documentation.
We have reviewed the issue internally and have corrected the affected labeling on our current inventory. Newly shipped product is using the corrected labeling.
Unfortunately, once an order has already shipped, we cannot physically correct the label on that vial. For customers who received an affected MOTS-C vial and are uncomfortable with the labeling discrepancy, we have offered the option to return the affected product so that it can be replaced with one containing the corrected label.
We are also working to make the relationship between the vial batch information and the corresponding laboratory documentation as clear as possible. If a customer has a question about a specific vial, we encourage them to contact us with the batch information shown on the vial so that our team can provide the appropriate documentation and clarification.
We also want to separately address concerns involving reconstitution.
Southern Aminos supplies products strictly for laboratory and research use, and our policies regarding reconstituted products are disclosed prior to purchase. We do not automatically refund or replace a product solely because an issue is reported after reconstitution.
The reason for this policy is that once a vial has been opened and reconstituted, there are a number of variables outside of our control, including the material used for reconstitution, storage conditions, handling, temperature exposure, technique, and the condition of the materials being used.
A change in appearance after reconstitution therefore does not, by itself, establish that there was a problem with the original product.
That does not mean we dismiss legitimate concerns. When a customer reports something unusual, we review the available information, including the batch involved, applicable laboratory testing, photographs when available, and other relevant details. Where there is evidence of an issue involving the original product, we want to identify it and address it appropriately.
What we cannot do is automatically conclude that every post-reconstitution issue originated with the product when we cannot verify or control the conditions under which the vial was handled.
We recognize that trust depends on transparency, particularly when it comes to batch identification and laboratory testing. The labeling issue should have been clearer, and we have corrected it going forward.
For anyone who received an affected MOTS-C vial and would like clarification regarding the correct batch documentation, or would prefer to return the affected vial for a corrected replacement, please contact our customer service team directly.
We appreciate customers bringing legitimate concerns to our attention. Our goal is not to avoid questions, but to provide accurate information, correct issues when they occur, and continue improving the way we present batch and testing information to customers.

@SouthernAminos At the end of the day after all is said and done, you offer TERRIBLE customer service and no one should shop with you.
The only positive reviews you have are when no one has an issue with their order. But as soon as someone does, that's when you guys fail your customers. Other vendors here actually do work with the customer, aren't accusatory or place blame on the customer, and work with the customer when there is an issue. There are plenty of good vendors to shop with. You have time and again shown you are not one of them.

@southernaminos Hi, I’m a customer of your company and have really enjoyed the products I’ve purchased from you. I’ve also been following some of your posts and information here in the forum. I noticed that your company is located fairly close to me, and I’d be interested in exploring whether you have any employment opportunities available.
I have a background in electrical and construction work, as well as experience running my own business. If you’re currently hiring or could use an extra set of hands, I’d appreciate knowing who I could contact or what email I could send my resume to. Thanks!

@southernaminos I am a customer of yours. I have had no issue with the products I have purchased and agree with what you said regarding reconstitution issues.
You missed an opportunity though. Even your response lacks customer service tact. Using words like legitimate and automatic. Insinuating that peoples concerns are not genuine. If you are going to respond, take your lumps say you will do better and then do better. Most of the negative issues people have reported are in the customer service interactions once an issue arises. That is what I would like to see addressed.

You may agree with their general statement regarding reconstituting, but you have more than one customer now posting pictures of cloudy Reta, using HOSPIRA Bac water, and reconstituting other vials of the same or different peptides with the same Bac water that come out fine. Southern doesn't lyophilize their own peptides, they just slap their label on China purchased peptides, so they can't guarantee their entire batch is good or consistent.

Some are legitimate recon issues and yours may be. We also have people that dont know how to recon and after using toilet water want refunds. This is an issue that all companies deal with.
We have seen companies that respond to the criticism well and others that implode here trying to defend themselves. I would like to see these issues handled better than what has been reported.
I really appreciate this communities ability to hold companies to a standard and push forward expectations on things like customer service and testing. Hopefully SA will take the criticism and make improvements.

@Mydogdaryl423 the good news is there are plenty of good companies who stand behind their products, test the right way at a real lab and don’t play games. When we buy from the ones who don’t we just hurt ourselves. The standards become less meaningful

You are right. There are people using toilet water to recon and having issues. Those customers need to be educated on why their peptide became cloudy or gelled. But when you have two customers reach out to Southern, both submitting pictures of using Hospira, and also that they reconned others fine, and Southerns response is to blame the customer and come on here and try to defend themselves with a stupid general statement and not actually take accountability and stand behind what they sell, then they are a trash company and should not be listed as a vendor on this site. I imagine many people do not come and read the forums here and just see them under the price index or what not, and blindly purchase from Southern, without knowing that Southern will not be providing customer service if they do have an issue. If they aren't listed here, or banned, at least the users coming here, have a less chance of supporting a terrible company like Southern Aminos.

Exactly. Let's support the companies who stand behind their product, actually provide good customer service. Let's reward them than awful resellers like Southern Aminos.

Hey @nuncles , did you see the email SA just sent out. Don't think I can post as a link, but here it is:
Important Update Regarding Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg Batch Numbers
We want to provide a clear update regarding a labeling issue that was limited specifically to certain previously shipped Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vials. This issue was specific to the 40mg Yellow Cap MOTS-C product and did not affect other MOTS-C strengths.
The issue involved an incorrect batch number being printed on the vial label of certain Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vials.
Important Clarification
The error was limited specifically to the batch number printed on certain Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vial labels. This labeling error does not affect the integrity, identity, or quality of the product itself and does not alter or invalidate the applicable Certificate of Analysis (COA) or laboratory testing associated with the correct batch.
Because the incorrect batch number appeared on the vial label, customers attempting to compare the number printed on their Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vial with the testing documentation could understandably have difficulty identifying the corresponding Certificate of Analysis. We want to be very clear that the issue was with the batch number printed on the label, not with the contents of the vial, the product itself, or the laboratory testing.
The Label Was Corrected Immediately
As soon as the incorrect batch number was brought to our attention, Southern Aminos reviewed the issue and corrected the affected Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg labels for future shipments. Current inventory being shipped uses the corrected batch number on the label.
Unfortunately, once an order has already shipped, there is no practical way for us to physically correct the batch number printed on a vial that is already in a customer's possession. The Certificate of Analysis Remains Valid
We want to emphasize that the incorrect batch number printed on certain Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vial labels does not invalidate the applicable Certificate of Analysis. The COA reflects the laboratory testing performed on the corresponding batch. The printing error on the vial label did not change the underlying laboratory test results, testing documentation, or the product associated with that batch.
Need Help Identifying the Correct Batch or COA?
If you received one of the affected Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vials, our customer service team can assist you with identifying the correct batch number and the corresponding Certificate of Analysis. Please provide your order number and the information printed on your vial when contacting us so that we can verify the appropriate batch documentation.
Prefer a Vial With the Corrected Batch Number?
Although the incorrect batch number on the label does not affect the integrity of the product or the applicable Certificate of Analysis, we understand that some customers may prefer to receive a vial displaying the corrected batch number. If you received an affected Yellow Cap MOTS-C 40mg vial and would prefer a vial with the corrected batch number on the label, please file a claim directly through the Southern Aminos website.
Our team will review your claim and provide the appropriate instructions for returning the affected vial and receiving a replacement displaying the corrected batch number.
File a Claim at Southern Aminos
In Summary
