@mrjoshua44 Crap I wasn't being critical at all just saying I did the same thing you can tell by the dial. I still have mine as keepsakes
@Stevepep LOL

Which is your fave and what are the 2 at the far right?
I mainly use my Convi, V1 and Savvios.

@dispensarysupport Gansolin is the goat but expensive. The v3 ultra is the best for the money. Convi Pens are good until they aren’t after months of use they will start acting up. I really like the plastique as well but the top spins so you have to keep your finger centered but they have a nice feel as well. The Novos have the nicest feel but you need an adapter and they break and ruin the pen and have accuracy issues. @commander has created a new adapter to 3d print that may solve that
-
@Bullseye it’s in what I wrote. I have 4 broken ones in my drawer. They are the nicest but the aftermarket cartridge sucks and falls apart and destroys the pen. They are not accurate either it wasn’t designed to be used with the max headroom cartridge

@dispensarysupport My favs are the Gansulin, V3 Ultra, and the V4's. The two on the end are the new V4 Plastique. I just started using those, but so far they are really smooth.
-
@Bullseye If I gotta modify it, then I'm not gonna mess with it.

@mrjoshua44 I agree 100pct
-
Why is regular V4 not on the list? I’m fixing to order 8 more.
-
Where does one get a V3 Ultra? Or a Plastique?

@whiterabbit Right here, baby. Go up to the Pen Shop tab.

I am probably gonna get a ultra next is the 3.5 noticeably different?
-
So I have a couple questions as someone whos new to pens. I see the V4 Ultra seems to be the top pick here. So with that here's my questions
- where do you get the needles for it?
- can I prefill cartridges and just switch them out in the same pen when I want to use different peptides or do I need a whole different pen? Do the extra cartridges have caps for this to be possible?
- do you store the whole pen in the fridge between uses?
- is a pen cheaper than disposal syringes in the long run?
Thank you in advance!!

You need to buy pen tip needles. You can find them on amazon. I personally prefer 31gauge 5mm needle tips. A good cheap brand on amazon is Glucocare.
-
Yes you can prefill cartridges and switch them out when the one you are using is done. Remember cartridges should not be reused. Should be thrown away when done. I usually get my cartridges ready a day or 2 before I run out of the current cartridge. No you do not need a new pen. They are reusable. When cartridge is done, take it out of the pen and put your new one in. And yes you can buy 3d printed caps, or print your own if you have a 3d printer, to put on top of the cartridges that you are storing. I store mine with a cap, in a case in the fridge.
-
Yes I store all my pens in the fridge that have peptides in them. Take them out when its time to inject and put them right back in the fridge when I am done injecting myself.
-
No not cheaper, but so so much more convienent if you are dosing daily and multiple peptides. Right now I am on 8 injectable peptides. 5 in the morning and 3 in the night. All are in pens. It would be so annoying to use disposable insulin needles to draw out however may units I need for each peptide. With the pens I am done in a few minutes. Just turn the pen to however many units I need, inject myself and dispose of the pen needle tip and put the pen back in the fridge. I can't stress how much more convenient it is. If I was only dosing something like RETA once a week and nothing else, then I probably wouldn't bother with a pen.
Edit: If money is no concern, go with the Gansulin pens. If money is a concern, I think I also prefer the v3 Ultra over the v4.
-
Anyone ever lube the mechanism of their pens? We only get about 300 cycles out of them. And the silicone coating on internals is very thin and exposed to condensate every time they are taken out of the fridge. Replacements will get expensive.
I am considering spraying some swim goggle lube into a Xulin to see if the action becomes smoother.
