Looking for research / protocol advice. Help my rat please! lol
-
Hi Pep friends! Well, my rat just stepped on her Hume scale for the first time. One word comes to mind..."Humbling". To say the least. lol
Since I am so new to the research game, kinda stabbing in the dark over here, I am looking for some protocol advice, or "what would YOU do if you were my rat" type of thing. Anyone want to nerd out and be a pretend researcher for "my rat"? Let me know if this post is a no no, btw. Feel free to delete! Not looking for medical advice, for sure. Looking for protocols that you believe would work best to lose body fat and increase muscle. I am open to any advice that you feel would yeild results.
Metrics below:
Blood panel came back clean as a whistle. Yay! Only thing that popped out was optimal levels of testosterone, but on the lower side. So, that's that.
Hume scale (woof) :

️Weight - 115 lbs (5'0 height - standard)
Body fat percentage - 33% (high)
Lean Mass - 71.4 (standard)
Subcuntaneous Fat Mass - 33lbs (high)
Viceral fat - 8 (low)
Skeletal muscle mass - 39.3 lbs (low)
Basal metobalic rate - 1098 (standard)
Metobolic age - 42 years (6 years OLDER than I already am! Yikes)My rat is currently on tirz (been on it for a year, got down to goal weight, taking 3mg weekly - titrating down to 2mg in the next few weeks). Taking KLOW 4mg daily and NAD 50mg also, daily. Just purchased CJC and IPA (no dac). Waiting for in in the mail.
Any advice out there on what protocol or stack to use?? I eat clean, teach yoga, and resistance train 3-4 times a week ( in reality, I really just started resistance training a few weeks ago, so that's in the building stage). Any and all advice is welcome!

Well first advice. Don’t trust that Hume scale. I bought one, went and had a Dexa scan done, them came home and used the scale. More that 50% of on most things..
If you are serious about doing what you can. Get bloodwork done and get a Dexa scan. That way you know your starting point before messing with anything.
Second (and more important) advice. Don’t just take suggestions from people on what to do. Figure out your goal ie. Loosing visceral fat, losing sub fat, gaining muscle, etc. then start researching different peptides that might meet you goals and ask specific questions on that peptide.
5 foot and 115 doesn’t sound like you could have anywhere near that amount of body fat as that scale says… -
That being said, I got a Dexa scan in December and bought a Hume scale right after and they were within 1-2%. I am due for another Dexa to confirm they are still in line.

I've had it for several years. I got the Body Pod right when it came out. I have had dexa scans and my body fat is about 2% higher on the dexa than the body pod. The important thing to me is it is consistant.

Goal Weight on Tirz! way to go. thats an acheivement there .only thing puzzles me is if your BMI is high, is that truely your goal wt. just sayin' i guess determine what you want from yor beptides, myself i want to fix my metablism and target longevity. the Tirz for me was to control my Blood Glucose levels, the weight loss was just a welcome side effect

@ResearchCat
So for comparison. My Dexa said I was about 28% body fat (and unfortunately that is right) The Hume said I was 14
My wife also did the Dexa and she was 27% body fat and Hume said 19%.
Just to far off for me. -
Agree with what has already been said above. Your numbers seem off. Probably the scale. Legit Dexa scans in my area range from $125-350. Start there then reevaluate

@WowwyZowwy
Out Dexa scans were $340 each -
For DEXA scans, check your local university if you have one nearby. Mine does them for $66. Can get a bunch of other tests too. Now I just need to befriend someone there to test my peps...
