What 3D printer should I order and lets put some files here

I’m down in the same rabbit hole with you @commander.
I’m think I will settle on the X2D. It’s not easy for me to not spend the extra money
. A buddy of mine has the P1s and it’s remarkable. He prints all day long with it. The X will be much more capable and faster, and I think that’s gonna be my entry point. Definitely with the AMS.@Snake-Pepskin it’s terrific I am addicted. I am traveling for a trade show and of course printed a travel case for my pens and a pill vial for my supplements. The second nozzle is a game changer it really speeds thinks up and for text it’s perfect

A1 setup and I'm absolutely blundering my way through Bambu Studio. Question, when I hit 'preview' after I've some some modification to the file, I see what looks like a possibly low quality print if I zoom in. Is this the case? I don't wanna have it churn for 6 hours and hate it. haha

If anyone is using the Apache 1800 from Harbor Freight to store peptides, heres two inserts thats holds 170 3ml vials. Download and open in Bambu Studio.

Stores 140 vials, near perfect fit.If you get 2 of these, take the insert out and stack two of them in the 1800. I’ll use the boxes for other supplies.

@Snake-Pepskin Are you using the apache 1800 for short tem fridge storage or long terms freezer storage? Im planing a long term but can't decide between hydrapeak or apache.

@krisacero I've made several of these boxes now! I did discover just now on the 5th box that printing the latch separately based on the color scheme I'm doing dropped the time from ~13hr to ~8.5 hours. It seemed to do a lot of color swaps and it was the latch. 145 swaps down to just 15!
Regarding the TPU gasket, is this something you super-glue in place? I've got some Sunlu TPU on the way and will print several of those separately and get them in later.

I wish I knew more to help, @commander! I probably just dove in without doing ALL the research but found a NIB A1 on eBay shipped to my door for $350 so I went with it. Begin in AK the shipping on all these units was as much (or more) than the printer itself so I went this route.
I am learning that there's a growing number of people who are unimpressed or wrote Bambu Labs off completely with their 'big brother oversight' so to speak and not being as creator friendly. Maybe someone else can give us more info on printer types and whatnot.
That said, this A1 is great so far.

He said I shouldn’t get the duel nozzle one because if there is a problem with the second nozzle, it can be a little tricky to fix. So I am leaning towards that one. He is also the one that is going to create the files for me and send them to me to print. I am basically buying a printer to cut down on him printing and shipping me stuff. Shipping is starting to get expensive…

I am also a little worried about these rumors with slicer software possibly being locked down.H series printers have larger build plates. H2S has the largest plate and a single nozzle for printing one color at a time. If you want to print something that is multicolor the printer will unload and load colors as necessary from the AMS 2 pro to the H2S nozzle. This produces more waste of filament because the printer has to purge out the previous color every time it changes. It also extends print time significantly. H2D and H2C are multi color printers but have slightly smaller build plates to accommodate the extra hardware. I have a X2D and will be buying a H series printer soon for the extra build volume.

If you are printing boxes with text on them or really anything with text, it's a game changer. The second nozzle requires more cleaning, I have found it similar to the A1 mini I have. Also, if you are printing in two colors a filament change is not required by the AMS and if you have layers it takes forever and wastes a ton of filament. This is where the X2D shines IMO

@brianluna I haven't decided yet, but i would work either way. The hydrapeak being metal has some advantages, but the shape and size are cumbersome. After watching videos of testing lab principals, I’m likely changing my strategy.
Peter from Janoshik, and the guy from TrustPointe both concurred that lyophilized peps will last years in a cool dark place, and decades in the freezer. My long term plans is vacuum seal and freeze, my short term(few years) in the 1800 in a cool closet.
