@mr_acero way too cool! I assume you'd need that upgrade kit to print multiple colors like that. That seems like a non-negotiable...l need it!

@hunt_ak So you can do it manually if you have a single color printer, but a lot of people with the Bambu Labs printers use their AMS system for automatic color changes. I have one on my H2C and frankly, it's a dream to use.

That H2C looks incredible! I may need to dip my toe in the shallow end before driving that muscle car.

It looks like your black cases above are using matte filament. Is that correct?

Now looking at the A1 and not the mini.

@hunt_ak Yeah, Matte PLA. I particularly like the Sunlu High Speed PLA for most prints. Pretty inexpensive and makes nice looking parts.

If anyone is looking for another print, I just finished designing this one and published it just now. Since both of us are researching a few things, we tend to stock up on pen tip needles so this fits about 300 tips and just about a box of prep pads:

Thanks for the tip! I'll grab some of that. Pulled the trigger on an A1, not the mini. More to come 🙂

@Stevepep Getting the prints on the top are pretty straightforward and you can do it right in the slicer. If you're using Bambu Studio, click the part, go to the Text tool, then I typically select the option to "Add as a Modifier" then change the filament for that part so you get the color difference.Screenshot 2026-06-04 at 9.00.06 AM.png

I did a bunch of containers for a Nexaph order for the freezer and labeled the tops, kinda just cuz.

@mr_acero The issue is if the part is laying face down on the plate it won't let me print on the front. I have searched for help but no luck

                        @Stevepep BPF-247

                        Buying Printer Filament - 24hrs/Day, 7days/wk 😄

Microdosing recommended but it seems most don't follow this standard protocol for BPF-247

@ResearchCat Thats the one but buy direct from bambulab.

                          https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/a1-mini?from=navigation

If you can spend a bit more and get a bigger print volume (and have the room) https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/a1?from=navigation

and if you just wanna blow some money anything in the H series is great.

Cool. I got the combo because I wanted multiple spool holders for multiple print projects and not have to worry about changing the color during printing. I also have so much more to learn with 3-D printing and creating my own work.

@afkar7 I may have to add that, or who knows, buy the X series or something bigger in the future. I have enough saved for a month of printing. LOL

Gobs of matte SUNLU filament headed my way based off @krisacero recommendation. Printer and supplies will show up next week. Hoping the A1 comes with everything to get started.
