Research on Pinealon used doses from 200mcg with 500mcg suggested as more effective, and patient-specific optimizations up to 3.5mg.
If taken orally or intranasally it is also usually split to 2-3 doses a day.
Toxicology studies in pigs showed no organ damage even at 1,000 times the normal dose. Still, high doses can sometimes cause sleepiness, low blood sugar, or mood shifts.
High doses are around 0.1mg/kg, ~9mg for 200lb.

I tried 2mg for 30 days and didn't do a thing. I'll be trying Epithalon next month and maybe those 2 together at some point.

@matthewwalsh I ran Epitalon at 1mg a day along with the Pinealon. Next time I think I will increase the Epitalon dosage to 2.5 mg a day. I felt like the 2.5 mg of Pinealon was a good dose for me.

@Shaqdiesel Epitalon is tricky. Next time you may try for an experiment for one or two nights use 0.1-0.2mg. 0.1mg is enough for melatonin production, and over 0.6mg for some may have the opposite effect.

@vpeptides I did the previous cycle of both before bed. My REM improved a lot along with memory and cognition. I am tempted to change to morning dosing next time per I believe @gym.rat suggestion with morning sunshine.

Epitalon at .2 mg a day. Say what? Everything says 5mg a day for 20 days. https://peptidedosages.com/single-peptide-dosages/epitalon-epithalon-10-mg-vial-dosage-protocol/

@Stevepep The reason is that the original studies, those sites draw the conclusion from, were performed not on epitalon, but on epitalamine - a pineal extract, which contained epitalon at maybe around 5%.
For Epitalon studies tested doses 1,000-5,000 times higher than human doses without finding toxic effects. So, they may overshoot but there is no harm.
0.1mg is enough for melatonin production, but the high doses may have additional effects too. It is likely that for telomerase production or for broader anti-aging or therapeutic goals you may use up to 5-10mg daily.

@shaqdiesel Are you pinning Epitalon and Pinealon same time, same of day, or other?

@matthewwalsh I’m just finishing 25 days at 2mg per day. Just prior to that I researched 5mg of Epithalon per day for 20 days. Can’t say I noticed anything different with either. And actually, my sleep has been worse during these cycles. 😕

FWIW some other researchers recommend pinning Pinealon in the morning. Epithalon in the night, Pinealon, Selank, Semax in the morning.

We followed Nick Trigili’s recommendations on the entire “Russian Stack”. We have just finished the Pinealon portion and will move into the Dihexa cycle (not Russian) next. Seems to be working for us.

For reference, here’s a link to the YT video: https://youtu.be/MyTP0qz8R4s?is=G0ySVCun3SFzBtxK

Yeah, that's in peptidedosages too. I'm definitely not going 5mg of Epi but will start with 1 in PM and 1 of Pinealon in AM. I can't imagine a pep that's meant to fix sleep taken in the morning and there's a limit to morning sun I can get; I have to go to work.

I think Pinealon is supposed to fix circadian rhythm. That's why Pinealon, Selank, Semax all are meant to be daytime or morning peps.

Epithalon is supposed to work with melatonin secretion or it promotes it. So taken at night.
