Klotho / FLGR242 (albumin-bound new tech)
-
@quicksilver80 Hi quick! So I would say that it helped weight loss- leaned me out in a way that was different from just losing fat. Before starting FLGR I had lost 20lbs with Reta at a dose of 0.5mg every 6 days. Probably never even benefitted from the glucagon effect with that low dose! But being a hyper-responder has its benefits? When visible changes stalled and the scale wouldn't budge I began to consider Reta might be holding me back from some of the follistatin benefits- you need calories to build muscle. It was time to cycle off reta anyway. The last 5 weeks I've added 4ish lbs which appears to be essentially all muscle. Can't prove it yet as next Dexa isn't until the fall.
You are correct about the supply chain/ gatekeeping. As I can tell you already know, Follistatin has been known and tried for decades. My understanding is that the patent is on the albumin binder, which extends the half-life to something like 2 weeks, not the follistatin itself. Hence unlikely to be found in the wild for a while. Rejoice in economies of scale though- down $300 for a months supply on BioLongevity Labs due to more efficient production! Hope that helps.@quicksilver80 Hi quick! Ordered 12 vials and will do a 6 month period on FLGR242. Will follow the protocol Stones67 posted above. Here are my starting stats. Just had Dexa and labs done again last week. Will get them again after 12 weeks of FLGR242 and resistance training and again at the end of 24 weeks
Male 44
Weight 165.2lbs (Weighed 162 that morning on my own scale without clothing and 159lbs today)
Body Fat: 18.8%
Body Fat: 31 lbs
Lean Mass: 127.1 lbs
Visceral Fat: 0.60 lbsTestosterone: 513
Testosterone Free (Dialysis) 73.6
T4 Free: 1.3
T3 Free: 2.9
IGF 1: 193
Z Score: 0.7
SHBG: 41Currently no resistance training, but a lot of running with a weighted vest. Will cut down on running and focus mainly resistance training on my Tonal as I feel like I look just soft and skinny fat. Would like to do a body recomposition. Will probably get back on a cycle of Tesa/Ipa during the 6 months on FLGR242. In the middle of an 8 week cycle of SS-31/Mots-c/NAD+/5Amino-1mq.
Any advice from PeptidePete, Stones67 or Diegoc on anything you would recommend I do differently I would appreciate it. Will keep you all updated. PeptidePete and Stones67 sold me on trying FLGR242 after reading about their results.

@denti I know this is off the topic here so maybe a DM but can you tell me the specifics for your 8-week protocol for SS-31/Mots-c/NAD+/5Amino-1mq? How much, when, frequency for each? Results so far?

Grade-A. Well thought out analysis and plan. Your labs look good. Ideally a bit more T would be nice but as you trim away some more BF you may. see a bump. Awesome you just had a Dexa. I started FLGR about 2 months after my first Dexa so my second testing results were after 4 months of using. Wish I would have timed this better but such is life. Currently I'm 'blasting' at 5mg weekly (1mg daily Tues-Sat) which BLL considers 'advanced' use. There is no scientific reason for this dosing strategy and I can't dispute those who say weekly or twice a week dosing is the way to go. In roughly 2 months I plan on a break and am currently trying to decide what, if anything, to substitute with (ex. IGF1-LR3 + PEG MGF for 6 weeks- thoughts Pete, Diego, and Co?). Others will chime in I'm sure but I would emphasize Tonal 3-5 times a week (flgr is a muscle building compound after all) and increase protein to 1.5-1.8 gm lean body mass daily. Welcome to the club lab rat! -
I wonder if anybody has formed an opinion on their alphaKlothoLR individually. I learned about Klotho protein and Klotho peptides, that it's considered having a promising rejuvenating effect on many body systems, and might try it. This one is bound to albumin and should stay in the system over 2-week period. Does anybody have an experience using it, especially without FLGR242? I am not sure if I even need Follistatin, but Klotho is interesting.

@stones67 Yep, the deeper I get into this area, the more it is underscored that you need the foundation to be solid. If you are not exercising, and specifically lifting heavy things, your results will be limited. Same with getting protein, getting your T levels and labs right, etc.

@ResearchCat well thats 100%, peptides are just tools to the foundation. Hormones including Thyroid, IGF, Testosterone.
Then everything works like clockwork
-
Yessir, I just think it bears repeating and repeating again. I know a few people both here and IRL who are using peptides and/or GLP-1’s (mainly GLP-1’s) and aren’t doing any of the other stuff and aren’t getting optimal results. I am just starting to look at enclomiphene/TRT because I have been reading more about what ‘normal’ is and what the realities are about it. I have gotten good results with peps, but have not been able to build muscle. I am maintaining, but not gaining. Might be T levels, might just be me.
I look and feel great, but still need to check that one thing - which underlies all the rest.

@Stones67 Yeah ive only taken Klotho and I have had great results.
Im leaving FLGR for January when i start my lean bulk.

Sure. This is my first time running this stack so I am not saying follow this but this is what I decided to do after researching what others have done, what they stacked and when.
SS-31: Weeks 1-8/Daily 10mg
Mots-c: Weeks 5-8/ Mon,Wed,Fri 2mg first week titrating up to 5mg final 2 weeks
NAD+: Weeks 5-8/ Tue,Thurs Sat 25mg first week titrating up to 100mg final weeks
5AM1MQ: Weeks 5-12/Daily 5mg (This one I have ran before with Tesa and like it)Results. I started my peptide journey about 4months ago. I started around 190lbs back in February/March. Goal was to get down to 175. Then still felt fat so new goal was 160lbs which I am past. I have ran Wolverine stack for 8 weeks for knee and achilles pain and healed my achilles. Ran 5AM1MQ for 8 weeks and also ran Tesa without ipa for 8 weeks and my visceral fat according to dexa back in February was 1.2lbs. Last week after dexa it was 0.6lbs. So I believe that definitely helped. I'm finishing up final few days of AOD-9064. I take that fasted in the morning. Does that help I really don't know. My problem is I have tried so many different peptides for 8 weeks cycle one on top of another and I have just continued to cut weight. So what's really working the best I cannot pinpoint. And then I also physically run a lot so that could really be what's helping me lose weight. That's the unfortunate part of running too many things all at once.
My issue is that I have been losing weight slowly for the past 4 years. I started around 260lb. So I lost 70lbs on my own without the use of any peptides but these last 4 months on peptides with increase in cardio has made the weight fall off much faster. So I can't really pinpoint to what worked best and just trying things out as I go along. So with this SS-31/Mots-c/NAD+/5AM1MQ my goal was to push my endurance even harder. I can run 6miles with a 40lb weighted vest on me. I wanted to push further and see what my limits are physically. I feel more energetic with this stack but could be placebo. It's an expensive stack to run with SS-31 but I am willing to try everything once.
I hate the way I look. I just look skinny fat and soft (I think due to having so much loose skin otherwise everyone who sees me clothed thinks I look very lean) and that's why I am now going to switch it up after this SS31/motsc/nad cycle is done and focus on FLGR242 and resistance training. It's like what PeptidePete wrote above in this thread about body recomposition. I made losing lbs on the scale my focus and I'm actually not happy the way I look even though the scale has me below what my goal was. I rather be 175lbs and lean and cut then 155lbs and soft. Its a hard mental transition to make as I feel bad every time I weigh myself and the scale goes up even 1lb but logically I know its about how you look that matters, not the number on the scale. I'm 44 and would like to have visible abs for once in my life even if I can't maintain it. But unfortunately I have too much excess skin that I will probably need to have surgery one day to remove it. But for now I can try to bulk up with muscle and try to get below 15% body fat with the help of FLGR242.
I should add back in February when I had a dexa right before starting peptides, I had nearly 30% body fat. So in the 4months It has dropped around 12%

Welcome to the club lab rat!So regarding Testosterone this is what actually started me on my peptide journey and focus on my health. Last year June at age 43 my Testosterone was 728. This April so in 10 months it dropped by 40% to 477. Since then I've gotten it up with Ashwagandha supplements but no where near it was. I believe the drop was due to some extreme personal relationship issues that I was going through and still going through today. A lot of sleepless nights and most likely elevated cortisol which killed my Testosterone. I would love to get back into the 700s but I want to avoid TRT if at all possible. I am interested to see what my Testosterone will be at once I add on muscle with the help of FLGR242
-
@diegoc do you mean you can pinpoint at the difference between with Klotho LR and without it, that can't be attributed to something else?
@vpeptides Thats not what i said… The comment was about FLGR, and that i do take Klotho, but Klotho is not for building muscle.
I said you need the foundation first then peptides works better.
Example. If you take FLGR and you dont eat enough protein, your Testosterone is low, your Thyroid is wack, and your not training, you wont grow Muscle.
If you have done your foundation first, then you reap the benefits of Peptides, all Peptides, including GHK-cu.

@diegoc I am not too much interested in building more muscles, I have enough. I understood you used Klotho, and I ask whether you see the difference from this peptide. I know it's not for building muscles, it is used for protection of tissues and organs, and to delay age-related physical decline, as I understand. I wonder if it can be felt or tested.

@denti I would hold off on the FLGR, but good that you got the discount.
Im not saying you should do this, but this is what I would do.
I would raise my Testosterone, at least to the top of the range, this will give you strength to push hard in the gym.
You need a min of 3x a week in the gym, full body or 4x a week if you split.
You would waste your FLGR if you dont prime your muscles.
Eat at least 150-160g of protein, i eat more but thats a min.
40-60g of Fats and the rest in carbs.Track your protein and calories.
Check your Thyroid….
About 3-4 weeks in Testosterone, start your Tesa, or GH .
Get in the gym around 2-3months, get good at form and do progressive overload, track your lift.
THEN, add FLGR…..

I appreciate the advice. I avg around 120g of protein a day right now. Will try to get it up to around 150g soon. My Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) if that's what you are referring to was at 1.3 at last check.
The current plan is to cut back on the running to maybe once a week and hit my tonal 3-4days a week. I just want to put on muscle as quickly as I can. Not looking to be huge, but just to not look like skinny fat any longer.
