What actually constitutes a pen as a V1 or V2? Is it the mechanism, the cap, or something else. I bought a pen from Amazon where the description was a V2. It's 60 units and came with a regular cap (no open springy thing), and clear cartridge holder with regular numbered markings (no blue bubbled numbers). I just bought a Xulin and V4 from the shop here, so I can't really compare it to those. Only to say the Amazon one is just as accurate as these.

I wouldn’t really consider anything bought on Amazon, eBay or Etsy and actual v1, v2, v3, etc… They just put whatever up and call it whatever. I think Jeff (Randy) has a few videos showing the differences in the real v1, v2, v4, etc… Not sure where they are. But I know he made them

@Commander I got duped by an Amazon pen because I wanted it fast it was called a V2. I never used it and returned it. It wasn't even close to accurate when i tested it. 10m was 6. This was before watching Jeff's video, which are a good send that and your posts.

Amazon also has a lot of fake stuff on there. I bought a Yeti tumbler on Amazon once. Then watched a video on fafe Yeti tumblers… Yep mine from Amazon was fake. Just buy from a vendor that is reputable. I think they sell v1 on here still. I bought one, it was nice. Then I went over to the Novo 4 dark side and will never come back….

@Commander I've seen the videos. They're great! But the Amazon pen I received seems to be an amalgamation. It essentially seems like a V2 but without the needle hiding spring.

What length? Are you doing the Test Sub Q or IM?
@Commander Im doing injections twice per week in the glutes mainly. sometimes thigh to mix it up. no idea what is sub q or Im is. always confuses me. im thinking of doing it 3 x per week instead so a pen would make life much easier. which pen do you use? any info on which one exactly and supplies for it is appreciated.

@russbechthold In the glutes and thighs, if you are using the 4mm-8mm needles, it's sub-q (right below the skin into the "fatty" part. To reach IM (intramuscular), or into the muscle, you would probably need a 1.25 to 1.5 inch needle depending on your physique.
I would recommend the V4 for the best bang for your buck, but it looks like Randy is sold out of them. In that case, go for the V2 or V3.5 (edit: 3.5 are sold out now) to get your feet wet. If you don't mind spending the money, go for the Xulin.
Does anyone know how often the website restocks their pens?
